Plot
The plot continues on from the previous installment to the series where the green army is fighting against the tan army to kill the leaders and put an end to the war. During the game, the two playable characters Sarge and Vikki lead their soldiers in and out of portals to the real world searching for Plastro and Tannenburg to destroy a formula made by the tan army to turn the tan plastic soldiers into real people. After a long and grueling war, the two leaders are captured and the formula is destroyed forever along with the creator.

Gameplay
The story of Sarge's Heroes 2 consists of 17 missions played from a third-person perspective and take place in the real world and in the soldiers own world. Players fight in real life maps such as dining tables, fridges, beds and even pinball machines with the toy soldiers which is a really unique and interesting style which has never really been seen before. The game consists of a good variety of weapons including flame throwers, grenades, and bazookas as well of more common weapons such as pistols, machine guns and assault rifles. Throughout all of the game, the player is fighting against the tan army whilst moving between different worlds completing tasks such as taking down helicopters and blowing up trains. Unfortunately the AI on the game is appalling and both teammates and enemies have difficulty doing what they should be doing. Split-screen mode allows players to play one on one against each other to compare skills and waste some time exploring the maps and different weapons.

Graphics
Back in the day when this game was released, the graphics were considered to be good quality but now-a-days the graphics would be considered terrible and not worth playing. For most gamers who are used to more modern games with good graphics, playing this game now would be too un-attractive to the eyes are ruin the experience. The graphics are animated and very jagged and rough which make the game very difficult to play. The music playing in the background is extremely annoying but the cheesy voice acting is funny to hear when playing. Overall, the graphics were of a high standard back in 2000, but now they really hinder the gameplay.

Controls
To be completely honest, the controls in this game are absolutely terrible. It is nearly impossible to get the camera angle correct so the player has a good view of his surrounding environment and the character only seems to be able to move in a straight line in one direction which is very awkward. The game consists of an auto-aim, thank you 3DO as without it, the game would be near impossible to play, never mind finish. Changing weapons and picking up ammo and new weapons is probably the only easy thing in the game. The player can make his character move into crouched and prone positions as well as jump to become a harder target for enemies to hit. Overall the controls should of had much more work put into them and are a major let-down.
