Synopsis
Hatched a dragon lately? Play DragonVale and raise, feed and breed your own lovable dragons.

Plot
The story begins with a wizard who wants to create a park full of dragons for people to visit and pay money to see the dragons, the same concept as a zoo but only for dragons. The wizard conjures a floating island where he sets to work building up habitats, food supplies and hatching homes for his future dragons. He then purchases a dragon egg with the initial money he starts with. When the egg hatches it is placed into its habitat. He buys more element dragons until he has enough to begin breeding different element dragons together to hatch eggs of hybrid dragons. As he builds up his world breeding different dragons together and hatching their eggs he receives more and more visitors earning him more and more money. Eventually he begins breeding super rare epic dragons and gemstone dragons whilst expanding his territory.

Gameplay
Dragonvale can only be played by a single player but the game has an on-line feature where the player can visit friends on Gamecentres islands to see how they are getting along and can also send them a gem daily which can be purchased with real money for a reasonable price. The main objective of the game is to breed every possible dragon including epic/legendary/gemstone dragons which a very difficult to breed. Dragonvale is a slow progressing game which follows real time because the player has to has to wait real time for dragons to breed, food to be grown, money to be made etc... To progress through the game and raise the level of the park the player must breed new types of dragons, play mini-games, send dragons away, complete challenges and spend in-game money on items. In-game money is called golden coins which are made by the dragons over a set amount of time. Each habitat holds a set of amount of money which can be earned more quickly by adding new dragons to it and leveling them up by feeding them food. The mini-games include races and quests where the player can win food, gems and golden coins by coming in either 1st, 2nd or 3rd position. The game contains minimal glitches however it can only be played when an Internet connection is available. Dragonvale is great game to play for a short time every day over a long period to create the best park out there!

Graphics
The graphics on this game are very nice with many different colours everywhere due to different habitats and dragons. The graphics on the dragons are smooth at far-medium range but when the player zooms in on the dragons small glitches can be noticed such as strange leg movements but this is nothing to worry about and does no cause any problems to gameplay. The music is very old fashioned and cheerful, which may cause humming or whistling which can be annoying to people around the player. There are a lot of different sound effects as each dragon makes a different sound when selected. Overall, the graphics are silky clean and do in fact enhance the gameplay.

Controls
This game can only be played on touch screen devices so actions are completed using the players fingers and thumbs. The controls are very easy to use and are made for children above the age of five to use without help from parents or older friends. The only problem would be that if they island is very big, items have t be dragged all the way to were the player wants to place them which is very time consuming. The controls are very easy to pick up and should be a doddle for most people.

Here is a review I made but it had already been reviewed. Sadly, I cannot post it as a response to that review as it has become an archived topic.

Game Information
Name: The Impossible Game
Type: Platformer
Release date: 23rd November 2009
Publisher: Xbox Live indie games.
Price: 80 MSP, $2
Console: Xbox360, Playstation 3, Psp, Iphone/Ipods, Android phones & online game.
Creator: FlukeDude

Synopsis
Jump over spikes and jump on blocks to get to the end. Sounds easy? It's quite possibly the world's hardest game.

Game play
The game objective is very simple. Tap one button (A) and jump over spikes and onto blocks till the end of the track avoiding black bold areas on the ground. As the game gets further in the jumps get faster and faster and your reactions have to speed up. This game is extremely addictive. It takes the average person over 5000 attempts to complete the game. It has very catchy, techno music that is played during the survival mode and suits the jump times perfectly. However there is another game mode called practice mode where the player can place markers/flags as to where they re-spawn and can practice the part of the course over and over without having to start from the beginning. The game is based on the timing of every jump. There are unlock-able achievements but they do not count towards your Gamerscore. Sadly this game is one-player only.

Controls
On the Xbox 360 the controls are very simple. Use the A button to jump, the Y button to enter practice mode, the Back button to enter survival mode and the RT button to swap between flags. Once in practice mode, every time the Y button is pressed another flag pops up. For the Playstation 3, the controls are the equivalent to Xbox. On the iPad/iPhone/iPod all the player has to do it tap the screen to make the box jump.

Levels
-Fire Aura (Bought separately)
-Chaoz Fantasy
-Heaven
-Phazd
All of the levels are named after the song that plays during the level.

Graphics
The graphics are nothing to worry about on this game as they do not affect game play. You are a orange box which glides over a black line which is the floor. The game consists of blue triangles with a white outline, coloured black boxes which can be jumped on but not touched at the side and thicker parts of the ground which cannot be touched, else its game over. The background is all blue slowly changing from a lighter blue at the top to nearly black at the bottom. Overall the graphics are really clear and there are no problems.

Evaluation
This game is one of the most addictive games I have ever played and it was also quite cheap to buy. It is definitely worth every Microsoft Point I spent on it. This game never gets old. A great feature is that once you buy the level pack they add others into it for free. I am very happy I bought it two years ago now and still play it quite often trying to get further than before. If you like a challenge, then this is the game for you.
