Sypnosis
Spec Ops: The Line is a third-person shooter with emphasis on cover and squad-based tactics. Various new weapons and equipment become available as play progresses, some dropped by downed enemies. These include several different rifles, handguns, and machine guns, some with alternate firing modes, like attaching a suppressor or using a scope; as well as grenade launchers and hand grenades. Single-player squad commands include focusing fire on a particular target and ordering medical attention for an injured squad member

Story/Gameplay
This game kind of reminds me of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon games. Very tactical making you feel as if you're a Navy Seal but back to the game. The game starts you out in I guess you can stay dusty area. Well you see, you're a group of american army vets who are trying to help the civilians of neighboring areas but always get into fights with rebel groups along the way. The game brings you through many different scenarios that can be both fun and challenging. You must figure out how to do things most effectively and know the best times to strike. I'd say that this game is a mix of Gears of War and Ghost Warrior. This is because the format of the game is so similar to Gears of War that sometimes I accidentally use those controls on this game! But yes, they feel rather the same so if you don't like the third person format of Gears of War, I'd advise you not to get this game.

*The multiplayer is quite fun seeing that it resembles the campaign very well but not many people play it so it's hard to get into a full game and usually ends up being a 2v2.

Graphics

The graphics, as always these days, is quite good. You can see the incoming dust storms as well as the storm stricken cities in very good detail. It's very clear and if I had to compare it to a game I'd say that it is close to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's campaign graphics. I don't see anything wrong with the graphics but, of course, there are always people who have different tastes I suppose.

Controls

These controls will take some time to break in seeing that there is much to cover but that won't make the game less appealing. Maybe as a side note, the controls don't seem as fluid as other games when it comes to movement and aiming but still isn't all that bad. You'll be playing like a pro in no time!

Rating:
Story: 9
Graphics:9
Controls:8.5
Lasting appeal:9
Overall rating:9- A game that puts you in the shoes of an army trio!
