Synopsis(WIKI)
Minecraft Pocket Edition[2] is the mobile version of Minecraft developed by Aron Nieminen of Mojang AB. It was initially launched exclusively for the Xperia PLAY on the Google Play (former Android Market)[3] for $6.99/4.28/5,49 on August 16, 2011, along with a free demo version. It was later released for other Android devices on the 7th of October 2011.[4] Minecraft Pocket Edition for iOS devices was released on Thursday, the 17th of November 2011[5] on the iOS App Store, one day before the launch of Minecraft 1.0 at MineCon and currently costs $6.99 US.

Gameplay
Minecraft delivered one of the best creation/sand box like games of all time, delivering a great overall experience, with a very nice overall feel to it, without over doing it. Minecraft Pocket edition did vary the overall game style and feel to it, but stuck to the original intentions, with some very nice gameplay. Pocket Edition allows you to enable various modes, including Creative mode, in which you can build anything with a set amount of resources, survival, where you are forced to find your own resources, and basically survive, and multiplayer in which you can use Wi-Fi to connect with other players, and create world within each others. Minecraft pocket edition really delivers some awesome overall mobile type gameplay as the creativity can never really end as you are always building something new, or trying to survive, or in someway having fun.

Graphics
Rating and critiquing the graphics in game like Minecraft PE, is always hard, as the overall minecraft game is consisted of pixelated images, with block like structures and so on. Even though the block like structure delivers a somewhat pixel like feel, the overall new type of graphics system really is quite unique and innovating when it comes to the gaming field, considering that a lot of games out now are not consisted of it. So we do have to give credits to the new innovating feel. Along with that, the first person view of the entire game is really innovating, and really fits well with the pixel like feel. So along with the downside of not having some really structure graphics, we have a very innovating graphic design system, and a great view of everything. The colors in minecraft PE is something that does not lack. The vibrant, variety of colors is really fluent and really does a great job entirely.

Controls
Considering that Minecraft was originally a PC game, and that developing a new structure for mobile devices would be intricate, Minecraft PE, really does an averaged, surprising job at creating the controls for this game. Although it would seem that creating a game for mobile devices with this genre would be very hard to do, they seemed to really pull it off. Now the downsides; the game is really fluent in lag. Although this would be expected, you may go a very long amount of time with lag, and it will get very frustrating. Along with the lag, the very compact feel of it all is very small and very confusing as a whole. The large action buttons get in the way of performing certain tasks in game, and the buttons seem to be quite large. The controls are never introduced which is also a very big downside, and it may take a long amount of time before sticking the main basics of the game.

Reception
The reception for Minecraft Pocket Edition really did vary entirely. Although from some major reviewing companies, such as IGN, and that kind, the game really received some very negative comments overall. Also, the comments seemed to focus entirely on the aspect of the very buggy and very distorted controls system. Getting the basics is very hard to get used to, and building can get frustrating. Some other companies did praise Minecraft PE though, stating it was a revolutionary game for Mobile devices, including its time killing gameplay, some giving it near the 9s, and some 8s. The overall rating for Minecraft PE was a 6.5/10
