Synopsis (Xbox.com):

The Worms are back, bigger and better than ever in Worms2: Armageddon, the latest turn-based-strategy blast-a-thon for Xbox Live Arcade. Team17 listened hard to the Worms fans and delivered in spades, with cult weapons returning, amazing new weapons, incredible customisation of Worms teams, tons of game options, totally new physics, more dynamic play and even persistent fire! Offering potentially hundreds of hours of replay value, an engaging single-player campaign, tons of player customisation, laugh-out-loud multiplayer escapades and leaderboard challenges, Worms 2: Armageddon should prove even more popular than the original Worms for Xbox Live Arcade!!

Gameplay:

In my previous review about Worms 1, I sought out the greatness in the introduction of the newly revolutionized series of the Worms. Worms are back, bigger and badder than ever. Unlike the first game, new customizations have been added to the Worms such as hats, clothes and even dances. Also, new weapons have been added to the games such as the Sentry gun, which shots at moving target once a worm gets close to it. Another interesting weapon added to the game is the Buffalo of Lies. The Buffalo is like a sheep but instead it explodes on impact a bunch of times in a row. It hits, keeps going, hits, keeps going. It is quite interesting. Multiplayer has improved tremendously by creating less lag between moves and there are less crashes. This game is awesome and the gameplay will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Graphics:

Like Worms 1, the graphics are decent. The game is cartoon like the first, but the motions are a lot slicker and less laggier than ever before. The graphics have improved greatly. I will give the graphics a 6 out of 10 because then cartoon makes the game interesting and more fun. The game also is a lot funnier when it is in cartoon. It is like your Saturday morning cartoon humor you get 2x.

Rating:
8.5/10

This game really deserves a step up from the original Worms because of the newly added content within the game, plus all the customizations the Worms are able to do. The Worms are courageous, smart, and violent as ever before. Please give this game a try.
