Synopsis(WIKI)
Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is a World War II video game for the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox and acts as a spin-off of Call of Duty 2. It was released on November 1, 2005, in North America. While developed by Treyarch, personnel from Gray Matter Interactive, who created the Call of Duty: United Offensive expansion pack for the PC, also worked with them on the game. Pi Studios contributed as well.
Big Red One differs from other games in the Call of Duty franchise in that it focuses on a single Allied formation in the War: the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division, which goes by the nickname Big Red One due to their unit patch which features a large red numeral one. The game covers the division's part in the invasion and liberation of North Africa, the invasion into Sicily, the landing on Omaha Beach in Europe and moving east, eventually crossing the Siegfried Line into Germany. At the end of each chapter and the beginning of the first, period footage with voiceover (courtesy of Mark Hamill, who was also in the Sam Fuller film, The Big Red One) is seen from the Military Channel, imitating a WWII documentary.

Story
Call of Duty Big Red One follows the inspiring, amazing story of the first division squadron, also who named themselves the Big Red one. The game follows the endings of WWII and the amazing strategic and heroic actions of the Big Red One. The game follows a fictionary character creation, but follows real events in history, featuring some of the most famous areas of battle during WWII. The game delivers a heroic storyline with dramatic, entertaining scenes and plotlines. Big Red One delivers a dramatic, entertaining, and heartfelt storyline with tons of various scenarios, that delivers a quite amazing story. Included, there are various individual storylines, and character developments throughout, that really delivers an amazing story.

Graphics
2005 was the year in gaming where the graphics seemed to lessen, and diminish down to a somewhat noticable everlong state of mediocre graphics, and Call of Duty Big red One changed this state into an advancement of technology. Call of Duty Big Red One included some amazing mechanices, techniques, and overall well created and designed strucutre of game. Big Red one delivered amazing character design for its age, that included some amazing movements as well. Along with that, the scenarios are widely varied, and include amazing craft and design to it. The game includes well designed gun structures and explosions, especially for its time period. The graphics in this game were completely amazing.

Gameplay
The Gameplay in COD Big Red One was one of the best gaming experiences I've had in my life. Besides the addictive aspect of the game, there were tons of various gameplay styles, and different ways to play the game. There was abundance, creativity, non-stop action and well made mechanics. One little downfall is the lack of controls, as it fails to explain a bit of that. Besides that, there are various things to do and play. Campaign features amazing graphics with a detailed storyline. Online features fun, addictiveness to it. The gameplay structure was amazing in the sense that a game could deliver great shooting techniques and an abundance of variety, from flying airplanes, to controlling tanks, to taking down enemy aircrafts using Flaks, and stealthily infiltrating an enemy base. It was simply amazing.

Reception
The reception for Call of Duty Big Red one was mixed, but overall it received a majority of higher average, to amazing critiques, reviews, and scorings. Some of the more known scorers and reviewers, such as IGN and Gamespot stayed within the 8-9 range, not reaching the peak of 10 or so. The game received positive notice about its amazing gameplay and story, and it was negatively noted towards its lack of control system and explanation of much in the game. Overall, the reception was around a 9/10 overall.

I got this game in 4th grade and I loved every moment of it and wish I didn't sell it along with my PS2 but I needed to sell it for money.

The graphics were good for PS2. The Controls were OK but not good. Online was good. Single-Player was great.

8/10.

This is better then any new Cod game that has or ever will come out. This is my favorite WW2 game of all time. The sound of bullets and the cries of dying soldiers will make anyone tense up and pray not to end up like them. The story is all about the Big Red and there campaign during WW2 its a must play for those who like shooters and gamers like me who just want a realistic shooter based on history. The music is great and very old fashion. The voice acting is really cool and even tho they look really dated I still like the way the game looks. What more can I say this is better the any modern warfare game and once you play it you will see it for yourself.
