Synopsis(WIKI)
Armored Core: For Answer is a 2008 3D mecha-based video game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 developed by From Software and published by From Software in Japan and Ubisoft internationally. It is the 13th installment of From Software's Armored Core series. Armored Core: For Answer is the sequel to Armored Core 4, and takes place around ten years later. It was released in Japan on March 19, 2008, in North America on September 16, 2008 and in Europe on October 3, 2008.

Story
Envision yourself in a post apocalyptic world, where pollution has ridden our entire planet state of all inhabitants on the surface. We cannot live on the surface, due to the mass amounts of pollution, polluting all areas of Earth. Above the ground, over 5 miles into the sky, are safe havens. On these cradles of life, over 5 miles above the ground, there is life, resources, and much to live for. On the remaining inhabitants of the surface, lie an endless war for the remaining resources and final platforms above the Earth's surface. The Main Character, is not ever given a name, does not speak, but is a NEXT pilot, fighting in one of the vehicles on the surface below.

Graphics
As though it would seem that Armored Core would feature exclusively designed graphics for pollution, and scenario, the game lacks one entirely major thing; design, and graphics. The graphics look empty, too plain, and each scenario seems to be lacking something, in some way. The robots are designed nicely, but have glitchy bugs some of the time, and shooting does have the most elegant design. The scenarios do vary, and have abundance, but have cartoonish feels to them, and lack major aspects of wildlife. Although some aspects are futuristic, the textures on certain structures seem to lack extreme amounts of detail, especially when up close. Some of the drawings look like straight up drawings as well. Although the futuristic scenarios look nice, the textures lack on those as well.

Gameplay
Armored Core, For Answer, has one major aspect of its gameplay that defines it: Customization. The customization is one of the most fluent, and enhanced customization systems I have ever seen in any type of video game, especially for its early time period. The vehicle related aspect really does work in the gameplay, as it delivers quite some amazing entertainment, along with online play. It has some amazing mechanics when it comes to navigating, but with all of this customization, glitches and major bugs are fluent just as much. The glitchy, laggy gameplay treads throughout the entire game, as you might be glitching inside of a wall, and with the poorly created buildings and structures, it doesn't help either way. The online play lacks, but all around, the gameplay for this game is above average mediocre in most ways.

Reception
The reception for Armored Core For Answer, received some lower Medicore to average ratings and reviews. The game was mostly praised for its amazing customization, as said above, and its well produced storyline. The game was negatively pointed out for its lack of online gameplay, and missing major aspects in gameplay in general. It was also negatively noticed for its graphics and lack of scenario. The game received an overall 7.5 out of 10, including many 8's, 7's, and in between that range. The star rating for this game was around a 3-4/5 star range and included mostly between this range of ratings and reviews overall.
