Release Dates:
US: March 6, 2012
AU: March 8, 2012
EU: March 9, 2012
JP: March 15, 2012

Synopsis:
Not everyone will survive. An ancient alien race, known only as "Reapers", has launched an all-out invasion leaving nothing but a trail of destruction in their wake. Earth has been taken, the galaxy is on the verge of total annihilation, and you are the only one who can stop them. The price of failure is extinction. You are Commander Shepard, a character that you can forge in your own image. You determine how events will play out, which planets to explore, and whom to form alliances with as you rally a force to eliminate the Reaper threat once and for all. How you wage this war is completely up to you: go into combat with guns blazing or use cover to plan a more tactical assault. Utilize your squad to full effect or take a lone wolf approach. Rain death from a distance or go toe-to-toe with enemies using devastating melee attacks. Mass Effect 3 will react to each decision you make as you play through a truly unique experience of your own creation.

Gameplay:

Mass Effect 3 will continue where the story left off in Mass Effect 2's Arrival DLC. This time around Mass Effect offers an Action, Role Playing, and Story mode. Each with a unique play style. Action - Jump right in as commander Shepard. The combat difficulty is adjustable and conversations play as cut scenes. Role Playing - This is the traditional Mass Effect experience with adjustable combat difficulty, ability to customize your character and you choose dialog responses. Story Mode - Customize your character and play the game with an interactive story without any difficult combat.

Choose the default or customize your appearance then pick your personnel records. Choose between Soldier, Infiltrator, Vanguard, Sentinel, Adept, or Engineer. Each with their own special abilities, proficiency's, etc. Then move on to your psychological profile where you decide if your a Spacer, Colonist, or Earthborn. You also choose your service history. Are you a sole survivor, a war hero, or just a ruthless killing machine? Then choose how you cope with a significant combat loss. Then start playing!

As I played throughout the campaign I loved that they implemented much more customization. There is a numerous amount of different weapon mods and upgrades and the armor possibilities are endless. It seems as if they added a realistic effect to a unrealistic game and it worked out quite well. I did notice however that the loading screens were longer than in Mass Effect 2 and it was a little glitchy from time to time. Some of the autosave points were a little odd and it was difficult to recover after loading some of them.

A new feature to this game was Shepard is much more agile. Now having the ability to leap over gaps, roll, and quick jump over obstacles the game's action is much more intense. Now without spoiling anything, the ending is.. well, not exactly favored among Mass Effect fans. Many people have been demanding them to redo. Whether you like it or not is up to you!

Overall Gameplay - 8/10
Action is awesome, cutscenes are great, storyline is intriguing (mostly), but the glitchyness and bad autosaves had a toll on my campaign.

Graphics:

Shepard's armor has a much higher resolution than in Mass Effect 2 and the character shadows are much more crisp. Large scaled opponents look incredible, especially the Reapers, despite their tremendous size. Environment detail increased even in large scenes. Effects have a higher quality and a more customized look for each different effect. Although the graphics are much greater than Mass Effect 2, I didn't notice they took longer to load/render.

Overall Graphics - 9/10
Even though loading took a while, the graphics are great and I was not disappointed.

Controls:

The controls are practically the same other than a few new additions. The new ability to roll and leap are easy to remember. The controls are fairly simple to anyone even somewhat familiar with the series or any shooter game. Even if you're a first timer they are easy to pick up. Occasionally I would notice that maneuvering in cover, or just simply going in and out of cover, can be a bit irritating. There are a lot of "L" shaped cover spots and some are higher elevated on one side. So if you move even slightly your character might stand up resulting in death or taking damage. This can be critical in some missions and I had to deal with those long loading screens after death multiple times because of it.

Overall Controls - ?/10
I put a question mark because the actual controllers are easy, but the cover ordeal is very frustrating. I didn't know whether that should count against the actually controllers or not, so you can simply rate it how you see fit.

Multiplayer:

Mass Effect 3 introduced multiplayer. Not a player versus player but a co-op. You play with up to 3 other people (4 total) and fight waves of enemies with occasional objectives coming up. Once all waves are complete you must get to the extraction zone. You earn credits to spend on upgrades and gear as well as new characters to use.

Overall Multiplayer - 10/10

So far I have not seen anything wrong with the multiplayer presented to us. They did an exceptional job, especially for it being the first multiplayer mode in the series.

Overall Rating: 8/10

This game is no doubt a lot of fun and addicting just as the other Mass Effects were. Even though there are a few bugs and glitchy moments, that doesn't take away from the overall game enough to not want to play it. Mass Effect 3 is definitely a must have for any fan of the Mass Effect series.

I mainly gave it an 8/10 because of the complaints about the ending. And in my opinion, if an ending to a game is bad, it makes the story line seem as if it wasn't worth going through. And the bad saves spots really annoyed me.

But it really is a good game. I don't regret buying it and playing it one bit(:

You should definitely atleast play Mass Effect 2 before playing number 3. Number 1 you can do without, even though it's still a fun game to play
