CityVille Hometown is a mobile game developed by Zynga. It is an App for iOS (iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad) systems based on CityVille, however, it does not connect to your web city. It was released to the App Store for Free on June 30, 2011. Once reached Level 7, you can earn the Farmer's Market for your web city.

The game is set in a birdseye view of a village, filled with a few trees, houses and other random scenery. Filled with a few inhabitants and workplaces. In which you are allowed to customize in anyway you want. This includes Cottages, bungalows, Mansions, Stores, Librarys, Diners, Burger joints, Silos, Trees. This game has alot to consume your time with and in all a very good Setting.

Well the game starts off with you being told you are now in control of a village, you can customize the name of the village then it gives you a quick run through of how to deal with things to ensure you make the most out of your village. First of Housing. Housing is basically buying houses for your inhabitants, and the more people that want to join your village the more houses you will have to buy. You can always go for the cheap option of buying a 1 person cottage, but when more and more people come to you village you will have to buy a much larger house. Business. Well on this game and in reality business makes the world go round, or in this case a village. For this app buying stores and librarys is a key way to earning money. Also the more money coming in the more money you have to buy other buildings thus bringing in more money. Although it just seems simple buying buildings then collecting the money, but thats where the 'goods' feature comes in. Goods are what is needed to run shops by supplying them with what they need to keep that business running. These goods are make by making soil patches and planting crops, once the crops have grown and you are able to supply the business again. It's a money cycle in a way. Decoration. This is needed if you want to put more of a style into your village, by adding flower patches and parks and statues, even a Hedge maze.Even if you dont want decoration you kinda have to as Road pieces are a part of decoration. Roads are key to the game as no house or business is allowed to be placed unless its right by a road. Which is a good way of spending time to re-arrange your city and make it unique to you. Farming. This is making Crops, silos and barns. Silos and Barns are needed so you can have a larger 'goods' inventory so you collect more at a time. Community. Community is where you buy places that benefit the community. Like post offices, pools, and Sports fields. These are good as you get money from them even though you dont have to supply them with goods. Although you have to have a certain number of housing in order to build the thing you want. Energy. Energy is what you need in order to do simple tasks like, collect money or visit peoples houses. Although this seems unfair you do get XP from it. When you start to get a large village people will join it. But usually they want something from the village, like a house to live or for you to visit people or build a cafe and ither stuff. Although you dont need to do these things you do get a massive XP boost from doing so, which is handy. And last XP, if you for some reason dont know what XP is, it is what is needed to level up your city. Earning certain things like being able to expand your city, and unlocks new buildings and stores. Overall i would say the gameplay was pretty great, alot to do and very fun.

Well the game is an app, and well before the update there was a few problems. Like certain inhabitants would sometimes glitch out of the area you can be in and just be there twitching and you have to delete and re-add the app. Which got very annoying after a few times. But the visuals were fantastic, absolutely loved them, and the scenery looked really good and apart from that one bug there were no others for me. Overall a really good app, i recommend anyone to download it as it's free!

The game had a variety of different sounds that will occur when you do certain deeds like, Collecting money or supplying shops with goods, planting and harvesting crops, it sounded quite realistic which was great. There are a few sounds that happen continuously like, birds tweeting and dogs barking which was alright would be good if they added a few more things like tractors and cars and stuff. But overall pretty good choice of sounds.

Overall a fantastic app, brilliant all round when it comes to gameplay graphics, the setting it was just pure genius. So much to do, takes alot to get bored of it, it's just fantastic. If you want this app go download it now as its a free purchase.
