Synopsis (Wiki)
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a video game tie-in based on the film of the same name which is also based upon the 1978 children's book of the same name. The game allows the player control Flint Lockwood, the film's hero as he must save his town and the world from the rain of food, fighting highly mutated food enemies, and using his gadgets to help him on the way.

Story
Although this follows a rather childish storyline, this game seemed to reach some younger adults, and teenagers in its sales range. The game follows the story of Flint Lockwood, a self made entrepraneur that has always had an interest in scientific exploration, and making his own inventions. He has always focused on impressing his father, who he still lives with as well. the game follows basically the exact story line as the movie, but has twists and turns throughout with newer enemies than the original movie and what not. Throughout the game, there are various twists, turns, and invididual characteristics apart from the movie.

Graphics
The game features a variety of graphics and light coloring, with many different scenarios and challenges to face with very nice crafting. The game features mediocre graphics, with lots of different enemies, but they all look similar in various ways. Although some aspects of the gameplay are varieties of colors, and lightings throughout the game, features an extreme cartoonish feel. The graphics are not the best, and it delivers a very cartoonish feel to it, with really blank and poorly crafted characters, scenarios, weapons, puzzles, and so on.

Gameplay
The gameplay in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is varied throughout the entire game. Some gameplay might feature action packed adventure, as they call it, or puzzling strategy and what not. This game also features lots of various different play styles, but lacks very important features, including angles for one thing. You play basically the entire game, on a horizontal view of Flint and the characters. Everything is viewed like that, and it gets very hard to hurt or destroy certain enemies, or destroy certain things. The controls are very mixed and hard to play all in all. The game also features rather stupid objectives and completions. You might have to destroy 10 pies or collect certain things, which really makes it boring and repetitive in general. All together, the gameplay in this game is quite dissapointing.

Reception
The reception for this game was not the best, but did get some higher than others. The overall ratings for this game were in the 6-7 range, and some were lower than that, receiving very low ratings. From GameSpot the overall rating was around a 6.4. The lowest rating I read about from that site was around a 5 or 4. Other than that, it really remains in that general area for ratings and reviews. The ratings don't really change and stay in the 5-7 range as well. It did not win any major awards, and was really in general unrecognized by almost all major game reviewing companies.
