Synopsis
Being a rockstar, and jamming out on the guitar is everyone's lifelong dream. To be on stage, performing music, and living that life. Haven't you ever wanted to feel how it is to be that guitar artist that plays all those cool tracks? Guitar hero delivers this cool, exciting feeling through a systematically, cool, and simple way, without knowing an ounce about playing the guitar.

Story
Guitar Hero does not follow a specific story line, but you follow what is known as a career mode. Career mode follows the path of some of the most famous guitarist known to man. You choose your skill level, which ranges from Easy=Expert. After choosing your character, you follow certain song tracks, unlocking more tracks, and places to perform at with your made up band. As you progress with your skill level, these tracks later are available for playing in free mode, and playing on your own with friends, or just wanting to have a good time. Career mode, also has different cash systems. Unlocking new venus, music, and playlists, unlocks you more and more cash as you progress. With this cash you can go to the store, and buy guitars, picks, additional characters, songs, playlists, videos, and much, much more.

Graphics
Guitar hero does not really have a sincere graphics system, as it mainly consists of camera movements, and a flat panel in which the notes roll onto the screen, in which you must play. The graphics system for characters, is actually pretty smooth, and carefully crafted. Being a sequel to the first guitar hero, the graphics did not vary much, but since the graphics in the first one were extremely advanced, this one did follow up to its predecessor. The graphics have smooth guitar crafts, and facial features which are very nice and clean. Scenarios vary from bright orange, to dark blue. The lighting system is very good, and you may finding yourself 'wowing' at the great graphics. For 2007, it really delivers a great experience.

Gameplay
Gameplay in Guitar hero is extremely fun, and easy to understand after some period of time. The gameplay consists of a panel, a sheet which changes patterns. As notes roll onto the panel, you must press the color of the button on the guitar, at the same time it passes the screen. If you succeed, the note blinks, but if you don't you'll hear a broken guitar sound. The gameplay in this game was also creative and fun, because it was one of the first of its kind to feature an accessible guitar to go along with the gameplay. As you use the guitar to hit the notes, you may find yourself feeling somewhat similar to a real rockstar of sorts. The gameplay throughout multiplayer does not change much, as the panel doubles and you now find yourself competing against the player next to you. Aside from it being a sequel, the only downfall to this game, is the fact that the innovations and changes from the last game are not great, and are not very big and widespread. It did deliver new songs and experiences, but the main concepts were already developed in the original game. Other than that, the gameplay was great.

Soundtrack and Guitarists
One of the most asked questions around this kind of game is usually "What's in the soundtrack?" the guitar hero soundtrack features a wide variety of classical rock, to modern day screamo. The soundtrack has older legends like Lynird Skynird, Alice Cooper, and Iron maiden. The soundtrack also features newer artists like My Chemical Romance. The soundtrack is great, and guitarists are amazing as well. Johnny Napalm, Izzy Sparks, Judy Nails and so on are also featured as some of the great guitarists.
