In Plants vs. Zombies, players place different types of plants and fungi, each with their own unique offensive or defensive capabilities, around a house in order to stop a horde of zombies from eating the brains of the residents. The playing field is divided into a number of horizontal lanes, and with rare exceptions, a zombie will only move towards the player's house along one lane (the main exception is if it has taken a bite out of a garlic). Most plants can only attack or defend against zombies in the lane they are planted in. In later levels, players can purchase upgrades so as to adapt their lawn mower to new environments like pools or rooftops.

The story is simple, you are a lone man (besides your neighbour Crazy Dave).
You use your plants, planted in the front garden, back garden, and in potted plants on the roof, to survive the Zombie Onslaught.
Story rating: 8.5/10

The player starts with a limited number of seed pack types and seed pack slots that they can use during most levels. This number can be increased, by either buying from the store or unlocking them throughout the game.
Whenever you come accross a new zombie or obstacle you will be presented with another plant or something which will enable you to move forward.
Ever closer to the boss.
The difficulty level increase throughout aswell.
The environiment also changes, you are on a pool, on the roof, it's always brining in more fun.
There are also GameTypes like bowling for fun away from the story.
Gameplay rating: 9/10

The graphics are pretty good, seeing as it's a cartoon game, it is hard to find fault.
There are some obvious bugs sometimes (which have been mainly sorted out) and some lag issues on some phones.
Other than that they are fairly good.
Graphics rating: 8/10

Well the controls are varied due to the amount of different consoles, but they are easy enough for a 4 year old to grasp.
Nothing too complicated there.
