Synopsis
Rock Band 2 is a music video game developed by Harmonix Music Systems. It is the sequel to Rock Band and is the second title in the series. The game allows up to four players to simulate the performance of popular songs by playing with controllers modeled after musical instruments. Players can play the lead guitar, bass guitar, and drums parts to songs with "instrument controllers", as well as sing through a USB microphone. Players are scored on their ability to match scrolling musical "notes" while playing instruments, or by their ability to match the singer's pitch on vocals.

Gameplay

The players use controllers modeled to be musical instruments. The player simulates the performance of the rock songs included in the game. Notes scroll down the screen to go along with the music. To complete the song, you need to hit as many notes as possible to complete the song and progress in the single player mode. Rock Band 2 offers single-player and multiplayer gameplay for lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, and vocals, allowing for any combination of parts to play as a band.

Graphics

In my opinion, the graphics are outstanding on this game. The characters, guitars, drums, and every little thing in the game is very detailed. This game looks much cleaner, graphics wise than the first Rock Band. While you are playing your song, there is great background graphics. When the characters sing it looks funny because sometimes when you play 1 song with a man and another with a female, the mans voice is still singing but it is a girl on stage .

Sound

The overall sound of the songs and effects is very good. Sometimes when you are playing multiplayer, the drummer or bassist goes off tempo just to mess you up. The track listing is pretty decent overall. A few of the songs that are in the game don't fit in compared to the others. Most of the songs, you play once and never play again. So they try to make every song more interesting and fun to play. The final song you play makes you want to play the next game. They are trying to increase the modes you can play, the DLCs they sell, and overall just making the gameplay and sounds outstanding.
