Gameplay

Dragon Age: Origins brings the best of Role-playing games; it includes General Combat, Enchanting, Crafting, and a easy to follow main quest line; revolving around the Kingdom of Ferelden and Civil war.

Character creation is a very important part of the game. You have many classes, and races to choose from, along with character customizations to account for when starting. The main classes are Warrior, Mage, and Rouge; which can be upgraded later on to Berserker/ Templar for the Warrior class, Shapeshifter/Spirit Healer for the Mage class, and assassin/Ranger for the Rouge class. Aside from choosing your class, you are given a very open character customization page, where you can configure all face traits, including hair, nose, and even forehead. They allow you to change your voice to one of many set choices, such as intelligent, adventurer, and even cocky.

The character creation incorporates "origins" for each race, and classes. Depending on which class, and race you choose will start you in a set area. This allows you to play different quest lines as the same race, different class.

This is the Character Creation Tab.

Graphics

Dragon Age: Origins has fairly good graphics, considering it was released in 2009. The games graphics seem to be focused around enemies, players, cutscnenes, and main locations. When it comes to smaller details, such as grass, blood, and trees the graphics are lower quality.

Overall Comments

Dragon Age: Origins is a fun game to play through, more then once even. There are main, and side quests to follow and complete, allowing you to play at the pace you would like. I reccomend this game to anyone who enjoys a good Role-playing game, as it is quite cheap and runs at a low Framerate; if playing on Mac or PC.
