Synopsis

Set in Liberty City you take the role of claude put in prison for a bank robbery gone wrong. During a transfer you escape with fellow convict 8 ball and become a local thug doing odd jobs and slowly raising to the top


Story

Rising to the top is never easy in gta. You will work for multiple gangs, a corrupt police officer, and a modul. Eventually working for the mafia you are soon seen as a threat and setup to die. Escaping yet again you begin to work for the yazuka. Throughout the story you will find out who you can trust and who is a enemy. Back kept against the wall you will battle it out against anyone that gets in your way.


Gameplay

A huge improvement in the sandbox genre. The first 3d gta game is revealed. Able to sprint, perform hand to hand combat, and use watercraft however not able to swim. Also able to drive various cars throughout the city. Overall gampeplay has taken a huge improvement in the gta series. Many missions are far more intense and alot more drama is taken into play aswell.


Graphics

Yet another huge improvment graphics have gotten alot better. With 3d now introduced you can see the city at a much better view. Although little detail to the city it is still far much better. Weapons also have taken little detail but are still good enough to where you know what kind it is.


Overall Rating: 10/10

Although a old game it is still a huge turnover in the series introducing many new things. I highly suggest that you pick this game up if you wanna go back to the gta roots.
