Developers: Harmonix, Demiurge Studios
Publishers: MTV Games
Platforms: Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii
Genre: Rhythm game
Rating (ESRB): T (TEEN)

Synopsis

Green Day: Rock Band is a music video game developed by Harmonix Music Systems, published by MTV Games and distributed by Electronic Arts. It is the fifth major console release in the Rock Band music video game series and, like other games in the series, it allows players to simulate the playing of rock music by using controllers shaped like musical instruments.

The game's setlist consists of songs by the American punk rock band Green Day. Green Day: Rock Band features virtual depictions of the three band members performing the songs in new venues designed for the game. The game incorporates existing Green Day songs already released for the Rock Band series as downloadable content, and allows players to export its full tracklist to the other Rock Band game titles except The Beatles: Rock Band.

A free playable demo for the game was made available on May 25, 2010 for the Xbox Live Marketplace and on May 27, 2010 for the PlayStation Network. The demo features full, playable versions of two songs from the game, "Welcome to Paradise" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams".

Gameplay

Before I start on the gameplay, I bought this game two days ago because I forgot they had a green day rock band. I LOVE green day so I had to have it.

I have yet to play any other rock band games but they have added bass guitar, also coming back with the eletric guitar, mic, and drum set. The gameplay is just like guitar hero but the guitars differ a little bit, but I believe they are compatable for eachother. The best thing I liked about the game was the use of green days popular songs that I loved. As with any guitar hero or rock band it will be hard to just pick up and play, but it is really easy to adapt to the controls, also the full set is still pretty expensive even though the game is a few years old

Gameplay Rating: 8

Graphics

The graphics of this game are not to good and could of improved ALOT. Its very cartoonish and this was really a game ruiner for me, in some sets the green day members dont even look like themselves, this might be something that could keep people from buying the game.

Graphics Rating: 6

Game SoundTracks

The game features 47 tracks spanning the band's career, including two full albumsDookie and American Idiot, and twelve out of eighteen tracks from 21st Century Breakdown. American Idiot is my fav ;)

Reception

The Game was rated pretty badly by critics, in my eyes I think it was the graphics that ruined it...
