Hey guys I want to start making youtube videos of game play and what not.

I play on PC just wondering what programs you guys use to record game play and what not

I would try OBS. Its a broadcasting program. Can do many things with it.

OBS is the king for recording your stuff and then I would reccoment Filmora for editing. Nice and cheap, easy to use with high quality tools. Then canva for thumbnails.

More than one way to skin a cat in this situation.

For simplicity, you can use NVIDIA ShadowPlay or for AMD you can use Radeon Software.

You can however go down the line of OBS and tweak recording settings for more control over your recordings.

OBS will allow you to record into different formats but you will need to play around with the settings to see what suites you best.

The key thing to remember is using the GPU for capture (NVENC or AMD AMF) will have less impact on game performance but using OBS with x264 or x265 for example will have an impact on game performance in CPU heavy titles.
