Dumbest Sports Club Names Around


It would be interesting to hear the dumbest, most atrocious names for sports clubs around the world.
I'm curious to hear the worst club names over all sports. Football, American football, baseball, cricket, hockey, you name it.
If we get a fair few responses, I might make a poll to find out the ultimate worst sports club name!
If multiple names come to mind, please share them all!


I'll get us started with a Dutch football team from the city of Deventer.
They've foolishly named their local team Go Ahead Eagles.
They even frequent the top flight of Dutch football. No team which such a dumb name should be playing against top teams like Ajax and FC Groningen!
I root against them every week simply because their name is an absolute atrocity.

I mean... just look at this dumb badge...
