So I wanna get a MacBook but I want opinions if it's worth it or not before I went out and got one

what exactly are you going to be using it for? Might be an important question to ask before we can answer this

just for casual use I have a gaming pc for gaming so this would just be for non gaming

MacBooks are expensive web surfers but they do it well.

I would pick up something like a Surface if I were to do it again. I have had several MacBooks over the years, including my most recent purchase last year. I like the cross between the iPhone and MacBook in the sense that I can access my laptop on my phone and I can text people through my MacBook but other than those features the MacBook does nothing for me.

I have owned both windows laptops and a MacBook. Yes MacBook's are overpriced web surfers but they do their job very well and have outlasted any windows machine I've ever owned.

I've had my personal macbook since 2015 and it is still going strong.

They're good for most stuff depending on the build but IMO they are worth the money
