So I just bought a used PC off Facebook marketplace
Usually, play cod on Xbox (have been my whole life and suck at mouse and key lol) Installed Warzone just to see how it would play. Used my Activision account that I use on Xbox Played one game, worked fine. Got off and went to bed. The next day I go on my Xbox and my account was permanently banned. I issue an appeal and stated I bought a used PC and installed fresh Windows. All hard drives were bought brand new by myself so there weren't any hidden files from the previous owner Got email back today from Activision "Your appeal has been reviewed and we've confirmed with our security team that your account has been permanently banned for using unauthorized software and manipulation of game data. As you were the account holder at the time of infraction, your ban will not be overturned" I feel like the account was never reviewed or looked into at all because I didn't even get a kill in the match I played Has anyone here experienced the same? Seen some posts on reddit that their account was unbanned 1 month after having an appeal denied. Just sucks so much having all your money and time wasted over a broken anti-cheat and poorly managed Security team |

Never buy a used PC.
The motherboard was most likely what was flagged as you mentioned you bought new drives. |
