I see not a great deal of activity and when I see threads in off topic "turkey or ham" and "what's your favorite chocolate" I get the impression that it's on it's way into the trash.

PC gaming forum doesn't get much posts, is the only life blood of this thing the call of duty forum which is also probably dying?

let me know.

I hate to say it but I agree with you. I've been using this site since cod4 days and since the last 5 years it seems to be slowly dying which is a shame because I love this site

Yeah, I mean realistically it seems most forums are. Unfortunately forums are dying due to the existence of social media and it being so accessible to talk about your hobbies, etc.

It is a shame, this forum was a large part of my childhood with the modding of the 360. Maybe one day it will have it's second wind.

I can see this thriving again over the next few years and that's not even needing to be an optimist. Long live TTG :heart:

One could say the community is just tighter knit now

But in all seriousness. It's certainly not dead around here... but the forums aren't the place they once were. And it does seem that the Call of Duty forum is the most active forum. The first in is the last to leave.

However, forum spaces are often used to create great archives of information. This has been successfully achieved a long time ago here, and the ball is still rolling. Hundreds of new members join every day to gain access to our download selection, and given that, it is likely that hundreds more lurk without an account to check out the latest news, videos and to search for tutorials. I'm sure that information from the archived forum posts are viewed frequently too. I know that I often end up on other forums archives quite often. So, the forums do appear to be dying (especially if you knew the place in its heyday) but this space still serves many needs.

I mean compared to when everyone had 5+ tabs open trying to leech mw2 lobbies, Yeah it's pretty quiet. But not dead. Other sites like reddit just allows people to talk about a certain topic while TTG has a range of variety so some things tend to be slower than others.

Plus, half of us are probably playing runescape.

Is TTG the only forum site you use? All discussion forums are dying as consumer preference shifts to better social media. Forums are boomer. Only niche subject discussion and sale sites are doing well.

Our sale sections are busy and growing. This is still the only good place to buy CoD mods. Competing sites are too restrictive for sellers or unable to get rid of scammers.

TTG has the largest database of game downloads on the internet which drives more traffic than the forums.

Not dead or dying, just changing.
