Last ditched attempt, I've managed to save myself a little sum of cash and have some issues making decisions. So I'm currently doing graphics designs on an iPad (be that a fairly old one, that's to be completely honest, not good enough) also doesn't provide the necessity's for proper designs these days. I am not only wanting a laptop for designing however, I am also wanting to try game on one - I know criminal but hear me out. I only play Warzone. On a side note it's an iPad 6th Generation lol.

My budget is: £1200 (close to $1400)
Needs to support (After effects, photoshop & gaming)

This time it's 100% happening, so any feedback on this I'll hugely appreciate it! P

Here are some, I'm not very good with SPECS but they sound nice:

Hope you've had a good day!

I feel like overall gaming laptops within a set budget are relatively the same in terms of what you're getting for the money, that being said, I'd say the biggest factor is down to preference.

You have the difference between different CPUs, and out of the ones in the laptops shown, I'd say go with an Intel machine for sure, its overall better performance and any benchmarking related tool or site shows the 12700H is superior to the others - so it narrows the choice down slightly.

I personally would go for the last image posted (ACER Nitro 5 15.6, £999) because you're getting a good price in comparison to the others, you have the ability of it being touch screen, so it can be soon turned into a notepad or whatever the needs of being touch screen would bring. The only noticeably 'bad' thing listed regarding this choice is the battery time, but I believe that would be the case if you were 'hardcore' gaming, otherwise, general use it would last about the same as the others mentioned - but that is a solely dependent thing in terms of what you're doing; gaming, general editing work, word document related stuff etc.

Overall, I'd say there isn't a BIG difference between any of them and realistically I'd go with whichever appeals to you most, however, try stick with an Intel machine out of the one's you've listed, obviously the newer the model the better (you'd hope).

The last one is favorable overall, however you should be able to find 3070s in that range now unless the market is still wonky.

The victus isn't bad, it just gets HOT. I've used mine briefly for work travel, it has good battery just a space heater under load with some moderate throttling in my experience.

As for after effects it will practically run on anything and unless you are actually using features that it implements i'd highly recommend looking into premier. The workflow and overall processing time can be halved. AME helps with after effects time though not always on par with premier.

Sorry man, didn't realise you replied!

Only issue now is that I've done a little research everyone/everywhere are saying the same thing which are heat issues and slow performance compared to a desktop I don't plan to play games very often or even long times. So I don't know if it would be worth it in the long run. What if I was to find a PC with them sort of specs would it be better? I've also tried looking at a fan that I can use with the laptop.

IMO I love the look of the medium erazer I also like the legion 5 pro. If I was to hunt for a laptop with the same specs as the ACER Nitro, would they still be a powerful!ish laptop?

Also, thank you for your message it means a lot!

There's 2 things that I don't really like about the nitro 1 being that it's a standard 15.6" screen, I know... most laptops will be haha. And the second is that it has weird cut corners on the edges of the screen. So visually it doesn't like appealing to me

I would be willing to go to £2K if needs be, just don't want to end up with something that won't be able to perform well after a year..

15.6" is fairly standard ATB with laptops. I use a MSI GS66 with a thunderbolt monitor attached to the back. Makes it easy for my mobile workflow/multitasking. Not sure if that model is available in Europe. However, before looking online, I recommend going to a few tech stores or retail stores with tech sections and checking out what they have. Get an idea of what you'd want preferably then sort of work down from there.

I've stuck with MSI for the last ~3 years on my laptops. The GE76 is another alternative to the GS66, slightly larger screen ~17.2" IIRC.
