hot pixels, not cooling correctly. Usually the processing boards on TVs/Monitors of any type are near the bottom or around the power inlet. Feel the temperature. Ironically the easiest way to test if that is the issues is an ice cube or a cold object over the hotspot. That or the signal is damaged somewhere on the board.
