Thanks for taking time to read my post,

I have had my PC for just over a year now and I think it's time to start making some upgrades I have had a few ideas, possibly getting a bigger M.2 or upgrading the CPU which would also mean I would have to upgrade my motherboard as the one I currently have would not support some of the newer chips.

This post was really just to get some advice on what people would do in my shoes and where to next take the build.

Cash wise it's not really a massive issue obviously I'm not trying to extremely over spend but I also know that upgrades don't come cheap.

Thanks for your time

Why exactly are you looking to upgrade? What is your system not doing(or not doing well enough) that you want it to?
What do you use your system for?
What monitor(s) are you using?

I would probably avoid a CPU upgrade for now. If you stay Intel, then you're honestly probably best off just going with Alder Lake and getting DDR5 but that's pretty expensive. I wouldn't invest in AM4 right now if you can avoid it, which with a 10700KF, you can lol. I would just hold on to the 10700KF for now, at least another generation.

I use it for gaming mainly, WZ, god of war, fallout. So not over demanding games. I recently bought a MSI 360hz monitor so mainly I was hoping to push the best FPS that I could out of my machine.

With such a high refresh rate, there's little to no point in upgrading your GPU since it'll be mostly CPU bound at this point. Big up 21 with the suggestion of waiting for new gear to come out. If you really want to burn money, the 5800X3D actually wouldn't be a bad purchase with a semi-cheap motherboard.
