I've been vaping since 2016 and now I want to stop right now I'm not bringing it to work and got one that's low in nicotine so I guess that's a start but if anyone has any other helpful tips on how they might have stopped smoking id appreciate it

keep mints/hard candies/gum around
half the battle is keeping yourself preoccupied with something that would make it impossible, like having something in your mouth.

Hello! I vaped for around 5 years, so I feel like I have some input on this.

What helped me stop was by reading up on what nicotine does to your body, and the negative effects that follow, that's what gave me the power to quit, but as far as execution goes, you need to keep it away from you, I had my mom keep mine while I was quitting, so I knew it was out of the house, not anywhere near me. If I kept it inside the house, the urges for me were way too much.

But another thing that helped me was slowly weening myself off, a lot of people don't recommend this, they say to quit cold turkey, but I chronologically vaped in a sense, after X amount of hours I would take a drag, so on and so forth, until I finally stopped all together. This went on for about a course of a week.

And for the nasty withdrawals that I dealt with, I noticed myself being super sluggish, and slow to react, but caffeine for me was able to counteract that, just don't go overboard.

Some people encounter bad headaches, some even migraines, best bet to have some ibuprofen on hand, just in-case if that happens to you, I didn't have headaches however.

GUM, most recommend this, because it works, gives your mouth something to do, plus having something flavored helps instead of a certain nic salt/juice. I bought several different packs of gum.

And as I quit, I pretty much sheltered myself in my home on my days off from work, with plenty of free time, I was super tired trying to quit, so I noticed myself taking a lot more naps, makes the day go by faster, and if I was asleep, I didn't have any cravings.

But that's all there really is to it, just try to keep it out of reach, out of mind, and it gets better, over time, the first 3 days for me were hell, but after that I slowly started to even out, and feel normal with a lot more energy, and happier, noticed myself smiling and laughing a lot more. And it just feels really nice to not be locked down by nicotine.

Throw it out and use patches.

This is genuinely the only method that ever worked for me when quitting.
