My budget is preferably under about 1,200 USD, with lower being nice, but I am willing to pay more for quality/longevity.

The reason I am looking into making a PC is because I would like to play Forza Horizon 5, and my current X-Box One is significantly less capable than a PC, and will be able to utilize the game's improved sounds. The following has no effect on PC requirements, but I will likely also acquire the Henry Stickmin Collection because I am a long-time fan of the series and CTM is not available on mobile.

I do need a monitor, but do not know much about what I want in a monitor, so would like your advice on this matter. I am used to playing on a mid-grade television from about 6 years ago, so my expectations are likely fairly low.

I have both a keyboard and mouse, though neither are very high quality. I do not know if or how my X-Box One controllers would be able to interface with the system, so I would like to know about that. I have a V-Moda Crossfade LP2, so audio systems are not necessary, but a 3.5mm audio jack is required.

I plan to purchase Windows 10, or potentially 11 if it is out and worth the upgrade by the time I am building this.

No, as longevity cost-effectiveness are very important to me, so I would like to retain the manufacturer's warranty and maintenance are important to me.

The system must have a 3.5mm audio jack for my headphones. I have put together a very tentative list of components [Minimum post requirement for links] , but appreciate any and all advice you have for me.

I have not selected a graphics card because I am unsure of what is best, partially due to the wide variety of options some of which appear to have very similar specs while being different. The game's requirements are an AMD RX 590 / Nvidia GTX 1070 or better.

Thank you all for your help!

If you can run ethernet man i would try to do that as it'll work better than wifi.

In todays current market its going to be hard to get a GPU and the other components under your $1200 budget but if you get a RX580 that'll go well with your Ryzen 5. You dont have to go all out and get a 30 series card or anything.

Are you going to have a HDD with your SSD? 500GB will fill up quick. Your OS is going to take probs ~50Gb on its own and any games will fill that quickly. You can get 1TB or 2TB HDD cheap.

I plan to try, but am unsure of whether or not it will be possible to get a cable to the computer.

The build is not immediate, so I can wait if the market will be more favorable later. The recommended for FH5 is "RX 590 / GTX 1070 or better", would one of those be preferred over the other?

Thank you for the suggestion, I've added a 2TB HDD to the build list.
