Hi, I am currently thinking of upgrading my PC parts but dont know where to start.

Assuming if I want to upgrade to like a GTX 3060 or 3070 what are the other parts that I have to consider upgrading as well?

I currently have a 144HZ display monitor but it seems kind of a waste when I cant play most games with nearly as high frame rates.

These are the specs on my current PC:
CPU - Intel Core i5-6500 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard - Asus B150 PRO GAMING/AURA ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 CL15 Memory
HDD - Toshiba 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
SDD - OCZ Trion 100 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
GPU - Asus GeForce GTX 970 4 GB STRIX Video Card
Case - SHARKOON BW9000 ATX Mid Tower Case
PSU - SeaSonic M12II 620 W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Main Monitor - PRISM+ X240 - 24" 144 Hz

Thanks in advance!

Assuming you want to stick to 1080p, you just buy your GPU and it'll slot in where the old one went. PSU is solid still. CPU could do with a refresh but ignore till you move past 1080p. SSD is getting on a bit.

Well if you got some money to spend I would 200% start with a new GPU as you stated. 3060 would be my pick. PSU is only a 620w bronze which is fine but a 3070 might be too much for it. Maybe buy a larger SSD, 1TB 2.5in SSDs are not as expensive as they used to be for sure. At the time of posting Amazon has a 1 TB for around $90. If you download loads of games maybe a new Hard Drive. Its really all up to what you feel you need for your setup. Maybe another moniter hope this helps

Yea realistically just getting one would be the biggest task. Check out your local Best Buy or other stores that sell computer parts like MicroCenter. Sometimes they have stock, most of the time they don't. Took my one buddy a couple of months to find a 3060ti.

Stay on the hunt and good luck.
