Hey everyone!

My website's logo feels outdated compared to other popular iOS apps out there. What do you think of the new design I made today?

I'll be honest the original/older one looks like a more inviting and lively logo. The new one, though it's cool, is just a little plain and looks less attractive. Modernisation is important, however the older logo looks like an app i'd download. that's just me though, great work.

I agree with Dan, the more color and more depth designs, invites more people and catches their eye, but it is what you like for you and how you want your logo to be, but your new does look clean!

I made some changes to the new logo.

The lines were obviously masked which looked kind of bad.
I put the logo into Adobe Illustrator and which allowed me to clip the paths for each line.

Now every line can be curved at the end.

What do you think??

Much better than the previous version, colourful, clean and a really good improvement.

i'd say the previous version with rounded edges. Simplicity seems to be the leading factor as of recent. Though that fully depends on the UX overall. Personally the original was nice.

I feel like you can't really tell what the new logo is suppose to be in comparison to the original. The original logo looks like a lifering (which is what you were going for I am guessing). Minimal logos are better so they can be easly looked at and so that people can tell exactly what you are about. I am not professional in logo design but I know some of the basic things such as makeing sure the logo is legable etc.

If you explain what the logo is used for then I maybe able to give more feedback but based from what I see I feel the original looks simpler and more inviting.

Agreed, Number one suggestion for asking for logo feedback is explaining what the logo is for, or the theme behind it. (Is it being used for gaming, a product, a tech company, ETC...) each style of design suits a certain theme.

The old logo suits something more playful and open. Using a familiar shape like the lifering shows that it maybe a helpful tool. The second (newer) logo looks like it relates to a tech/finance theme.

Can't make any solid feedback until given more context.

Perhaps if you simplified it a bit more, maybe by removing a few of the lines, as you must take into consideration how the logo will appear in various ways, such as:


  • How it will appear on a larger and smaller scale.
  • How it will appear from different perspectives.
  • How it will appear as a website logo, print, or on social media.

I feel like the old logo still looks the best! Try to incorporate that one some more maybe, other ones still look good to me though
