Looking to find a new hobby and metal detecting seems to be the one I'm gonna go for.

Haven't a clue about it though anyone in here link me to a good one to get to start or can tell me things I'd need?

This has always interested me, I live close to a beach so there are tons of people out there with metal detector searching for stuff. I don't know any of them personally but there is one guy who is a "professional" if you were to lose say like your wedding ring you would call him and he could come out there and find it, it's actually kinda crazy. He charges a good bit also.

Not into it but I do see a good amount of people who does this for a hobby and make easy cash, some do it to see what they can find and sell, or if they find for an example a phone they will try and find out the owner, and some do it for cash as well, as chosen said they will help people find certain belongings someone has lost in a certain area and these people who have lost this certain item will pay the person to go find it

Yeah I'm not looking to make cash or nothing I just want to do it for fun as I've always been interested in it but never actually gone and got one

try sharks teeth hunting in streams and old ditches if you are on the east coast near nc the Miocene epoch 23 million years to 5.3 million map will tell you the areas i used to find all kinds of old fossils and stuff
