So recently I have been going back and fourth between either getting a laptop or upgrading my PC and I think I have finally decided just to upgrade it since it's been awhile. With some newer games coming out later this year I'd like to enjoy them a little more than I would be able to now.

As of right now I just don't know what exactly to do first, where to start I suppose. Here is my current build pcpartpicker.com/list/VBpqZZ - I believe the only thing that MAY be slightly different is the motherboard but I'm pretty sure it's correct. Ideally I don't really care the cost, I don't need anything overkill as right now all I play is OSRS but later on this year I plan on playing the newer titles like Halo/BF2042/Forza. Essentially just want to improve my FPS and graphics overall.

Let me know if you need anymore information and thanks to anyone who helps.

All around a pretty solid pc. Only thing I can see you needing to upgrade is possibly storage and then GPU.

Honestly I think the 1070 still holds up for most newer games around medium.

Sadly enough right now upgrading the GPU right now is the hardest thing. Obviously if you can manage to snag a 3060/3060TI/3070 now for MSRP then absolutely worth it. But it still seems pretty hard to get one. You could try to get a B-stock from EVGA. (shoot for 2070+)

Storage I'd opt for a 1tb SSD as it would probably cover all the games you'd want in the future. They can get picked up for about $100-150

Yeah I'm definitely planning on getting a bigger storage lol. 3070 is probably what I'll end up getting if I can ever get my hands on one.

For sure. Try hopping in a discord. I am in Next Gen Tech and people seem to be able to snag em somewhat often. Maybe get lucky and check hwswap subreddits too.

Everything seems pretty much fine to me tbh. For better gaming performance, GPU should definitely be the first upgrade but in this current market.. good luck. I'd hold off for now, and start with a GPU upgrade when you can find one at a reasonable price.

After that, CPU is still fine, but if you're itching for an upgrade then it wouldn't be the worst idea to go for a newer CPU. Quad cores are getting a bit dated so going for a modern 6C/12T or 8C/16T CPU could be a decent shout. The 4C/8T i7 could easily last you a while longer if you want it to though.

Then, more SSD/HDD storage and/or RAM never hurts. It's not really going to make any difference to your gaming performance though, so if it's still enough for you, I'd definitely focus on GPU/CPU upgrade first.
