I'm interested to hear some stories, 'cause I'm sure you all have some.
I still remember getting a GameCube for Christmas in 2001, and being upset to find no Mario games under the tree, but instead a junk "shovelware looking" game called Pikmin. Well, after playing all of the other options, I eventually caved out of boredom and played the bastard, and that game instantly became my favorite. Still is one of mine all time favs. |

| MW2. was never the fps shooter type and always prefered racing games, was pleasantly surprised when mw2 turned out to be a decent game and not just another unplayed waste of money to sit on the shelf. |

Tons, but the earliest one i can think of was gears of war 3. When gow1 came out i was still pretty young so i didn't understand much about it so i just went back to runescape and jet set radio future.
Fast forward some years and my friend gives me a beta code for gears 3, i decided to give it a try and didn't really enjoy it but then i started seeing youtubers like likebutter and the ess clan just wallbouncing around people in the beta and i thought that was some of the coolest movement in a game ive seen. And me being super into trickshotting i gave it a full try since it released near my birthday and i loved that game. I probably put 2k hours into it. Hard to believe its been 9 years already |

| Halo 4 for me I know it's not the best Halo but it's actually really fun love the multiplayer! Campaign was okay as well! |

| Assassin's Creed (the original.) Like, I didn't think it'd be trash per se, but I felt like the running/parkour aspect of it would be hard to do when I first saw trailers of it. Thought the game in general would just be a kind of game I'd hate due to the mechanics even though it looked beautiful and interesting. My gf at the time suggested I get it since it was on sale, and then that became probably my favorite series of all time. |

Sniper elite 3
Got it for pennies, played first mission and uninstalled. Few days later got bored gave another go, actually not that bad lol Can watch the opps heads explode or their nuts haha |
