Hi,
Crypto bets have gone well. It's time to get a new gaming desktop as my current is falling to pieces.
Looking to spend anywhere from $2k-3.5k USD. I really don't want to have to upgrade/replace this new PC for years so i'm looking to pay where needed.

What is your budget and currency? $2,000-3,500
What will you use the PC for? Gaming
Do you need a monitor? If not, what monitor(s) will you be using? Yes
Do you need a keyboard, mouse, or other peripherals? No
Do you need an operating system? Yes
Will you overclock? No
Anything else we should know? No preference for AMD or Intel. Looking for a PC that will last a few years at least.

The biggest issue you will find right now is finding a GPU unless you have one around your house already since you mentioned crypto. I can build you a list for AMD and Intel here in a little though if someone doesn't beat me to it.

$1400 for a 5700XT lmfao. That Intel system is tragic.

The AMD system is better, somehow, but damn 3x MSRP for an RTX 3060.. no thanks.

However, that is severely overkill for just "gaming". So keep that in mind.

Ideally, you'd be running this with an RTX 3080 or RX 6800(XT) if you could find one anywhere close to MSRP. GPU pricing and availability right now is horrendous though, so good luck. Your best bet is trying to find a GPU for a reasonable price first, and then buying everything else once you have a GPU.

Add whatever capacity 7200RPM HDD you want/need, if you even need one at all. The 2TB SSD is more than likely fine, for now at least. Honestly, could even just add another 1TB or 2TB SSD alongside this with your budget.

CPU cooler is somewhat down to personal taste, but I'd be sticking with a decent air cooler. Dark Rock Pro 4 would be my actual choice if possible, but it won't fit in this Lian-Li case so Scythe are a good back-up option.
If you want an AIO, then pretty much get whatever 240mm+ that you like the look of.. Corsair's Hydro series and NZXT's Kraken X series are the typical go to, both of which will be fine if that's what you like the look of.

Couple of different routes you could go for monitor.. 3440x1440 high refresh rate is where I'd start, but Id almost definitely be adding more monitors alongside that.
However, if you want to ball out, 4k144Hz is an option if you want to drop around $1k on the monitor alone. Otherwise, 4k60Hz or 1440p144Hz. Since it's for gaming, I definitely wouldn't be running 4k60Hz as your main monitor, but maybe as a secondary panel next to a high refresh rate of whatever resolution you decide on(1440p, 4k, or 3440x1440).

I normally wouldn't recommend it but second or third hand mining cards for a filler work in the meantime. Most of them are just have thermal issues due to bios mods and uncleaned coolers. I'd just wait for the market to settle down again. Not like it is the first time this has happened within the last 5 years.
