This is my current build:
uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/hrDcVc

I have about £500-600 GBP to spend and I'm looking to upgrade it.

I have been looking at buying the Kraken Z73 cooler, however I'd rather put that money to something that might actually improve my PC.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I'd definitely suggest a cooler, from the list of parts you provided it would seem you have none at all, other than fans I assume?

And if your room isn't 6 million degrees that's probably fine, but you've got a machine capable of pounding out damn near every game and claiming good frames. Plus, you've got tons of storage and more RAM than most people need outside of visual development.

Upgrading anything kind of seems like overkill, unless you actually need it for intensive mining or rendering. So, I'd suggest the cooling system. If you decide to push your PC to it's absolute limits, that should come in handy.

Great machine though, how are you liking it? We have very similar set ups aside from storage space and your GPU. I have a 1660 super, so I definitely would like to get a newer RTX.

Honestly, maybe even a custom chassis/case for the price you listed would be possible and could be a good idea as well!

I'm assuming you've got the standard AMD cooler - unless you plan on OC that will be absolutely fine.

I would look to upgrade to a 3060TI/3070 - if you can stretch the budget you'll recover a lot of the cost through your current GPU.

Other than that potentially consolidating your HDDs down to SSDs - would reduce power consumption & be more efficient in the long run?

Personally, I'd scrap all the HDD's, buy another SSD or 2.

Whilst you're there, a new case and PSU wouldn't go amiss. Buying a CPU & GPU wouldn't make much sense with the current state of the market but you can get it ready for it to be fairly easy to drop in when you do want to pull the trigger.

PSU would absolutely be the first thing I'd touch. Get something better quality and probably semi/fully modular. Also might as well get higher wattage while you're at it.

Then, since you want to upgrade the cooler, might as well do that next. Pretty much any cooler is going to do the job for you so really just get whatever you like the look of best. I'd be going air but if the Kraken is what you like the look of, then go for it.

After that, I'd personally definitely be changing the case. That said, I'm assuming you like your current case and in that situation, it's probably worth just holding on to it until you want a change. Not really worth the hassle of swapping over every single component in to a new case if you're still content with what you have.. unless your current case was terrible for temps/airflow.

As above, you have plenty of RAM, no need to touch that, and you're really not going to get a GPU upgrade with the current market. CPU upgrade maybe, but you're only upgrade is a higher core count Ryzen 3000 or 5000, and that would only make sense if you really needed more cores/threads for your use case(obviously)- so if just gaming/basic tasks, hold on to that 3600.

Storage wise, tough to say since we don't know how much capacity you really need or whether you need fast storage. Never really any harm in adding more/larger SSD's though in fairness lol.
I have 1TB NVMe, 1TB worth of SATA SSD, but I also have 6TB of HDD's and looking to make that 8 or 9TB worth of HDD storage.

Thanks for all the help everyone!

I went ahead and bought another 2TB M.2 NVME SSD, an 850w Power supply, the Kraken Z73 cooler that I mentioned and just some better looking case fans.

New case is a good shout though so maybe that'll be my next buy until moving onto the GPU
