Unreal from the underdogs that don't play in the super league

We'll see what your club is called fairly soon. Merseyside Reds from LUFC got me though.

tell me how its a good idea then?

The quality of football you get to watch sky rockets. You sit at home and watch it on the tv you aren't even scouse. You have absolutely no idea what it's like to follow your team home and away. How many people in this thread actually do own a season ticket or even manage to go to more than 3 games a season?

I know I'd rather pay more money and watch my club play consistently at the highest level than watch them play Burnley.

Don't you know that the European football is already locked to the same 16-24 teams every single year? There already is a European super league and you've not even noticed it because all you care about is the tournament.

I know I'd rather watch my team play in a super league at the same kind of level than watch them play motherwell week in week out.

I know it's a selfish way of thinking but yous would all be the first to say it's a two horse race in my league. So change it?

Liverpool won the league last year, Leicester won it in 15/16. Name the other title winners of the last decade. The same clubs win all the time man, English club fans all have the biggest sense of entitlement ever, your league is shambolic no wonder the big clubs want out.
Do you know that you literally cant get relegated from it so its pointless? you might as well add in caps and start drafting in players like the NBA.Thats such a bad take I bet if rangers were in it youd be calling for all the same shit that everyone else is.My own team is in it and I want them punished what about grass roots and lower leagues? All that will be gone because they depend on us at the top if teams cant stay afloat.Yea your saying that but I bet theyll play the matches in stupid places like china and america whoever bids the highest.Would you want celtic in a league where you get paid a shit ton but theres no merit for it?You dont earn your way in and if you win you get a mickey mouse trophy at the end.Literally nobody wants that id rather Liverpool get sent to the lower leagues and make their way back up then watch the ESL.

Your point regarding relegation is laughable, you support a team that never ever get relegated because of the amount of money they receive each season with tv money and merchandising and the ridiculous payout for finishing in the top 6 every year. That applies to the boys at the bottom who actually face that risk year in year out. I don't care who goes up and down in my league Cus there's no point, the only thing that actually drives me to want teams out of the championship here is history and the teams that deserve to be in the top flight. Not because I find them interesting to play against as such. Onto your next point where there is no merit for winning and can't be relegated. For you and the rest of the top 6 it's exactly the same. Yous do the same thing every year where you fight for first with no hardship. And the process just repeats itself every single year.

Grass roots and lower leagues? There are so many leagues in England that play at a level that they could all be bumped up. Your talking 6 teams leaving the English system. What relevance does this have to the lower leagues? Celtic have absolutely no affect on Falkirk, they've played once behind closed doors and got put out probably to never be played against again for years.

Your point about China and America is fair but you could blame the brexiters for that? Maybe the free roam in Europe is looking like a good benefit for football fans. Get it up the brexiters btw.

If rangers were in it then good for them, it's a super league tho and I don't expect them to be in with the big boys rather in with us in a Dutch Belgian Swedish Norwegian super league type thing. Either that or we take your places in the prem?

Stop chatting shit you'd never watch liverpool in league 2. 75% of the support wouldn't.

Edit: your totally entitled to your opinion tho, but I don't think the outcry is justified from the whole nation.
Man you are capping so hard saying you wouldnt be bothered you def would if celtic would literally be selling their soul and values your saying youd still support them no matter what?Even if they are trashing over everything everyones built in the past for the club? And we have been relegated just because it hasnt happened recently doesnt mean it can happen in the future.Forrest won the league and got relegated not long after. We finished Mid table for awhile and earned our way into playing champions league by playing better and up to standard.Arsenal are sitting 9th in the table you telling me they are ESL worthy?

Anahahahahah you worked your way up with money and paying extraordinary fees and wages to players and staff. Save yourself the time and effort telling me about history, the games changed and will continue to change, every man and their left baw knows this.

I would support Celtic no matter what, the club has a lot of history but it's hardly all down the shiter.

Arsenal aren't ESL worthy but what's the issue, they are a founding club and have been invited into that position.
jlmao that took you awhile and thats all you came up with if you were to support that shit then your as plastic as they come lol

Team: Liverpool

Thankfully my team are nowhere near it so I don't give a shit
so what if im from ireland ive supported liverpool all my life and ive actually seen us play in person literally such a bad insult lmao.If that the case then celtics fanbase would be 0 do you know how many irish people support celtic?Mustve struck a nerve if your tryna insult me over where i live lol.Theres more irish flags in celtic park than actual celtic ones the irony.

Being Irish you should know why we fly these flags.

It's funny Cus there are people in anfield every single week buddy, seeing them play in person once is class and go you for actually making the trip because there aren't many people that would do it. I still think though that all these opinions from people who sit in their house with a 4 pack of Stella who actively dont go because they can't be arsed shouldn't have a say.

If the set up was slightly different with a set level having the potential to go up and play in the league and the chance for the bottom to be relegated would you see any problem with it? What about if it was played in Europe exclusively? I know I'd be buzzing with the potential of multiple away trips in Europe, done 3 so far and can say that it's far far far superior than any game you'll watch domestically.

I can absolutely see why people don't want it, not that I've changed my opinion on the concept but I think the way they've gone about trying to implement it is wrong, a bit more thought before just announcing it would have done the world of good.

Imagine, it's a time to be united about football and you're all scrapping cause someone doesn't live where the club he supports is from...

Chelsea first team to pull out by the looks, even more embarrassing pulling out now. Shows no backbone from the club.

All these clubs are a disgrace even if they pull out

feel bad for the players/managers, owners told them nothing and they have to release these statements

All the owners/shareholders/investors - anyone with any sort of influence on this devious should be fined, sanctioned and gave serious consequences.

The threats to the players are disgusting from UEFA/FIFA, the players had no say or control in any of it and threatening them with not playing in club or international competitions is shameful. Cancel it all, let the clubs continue as they were and let the billionaires take the hits.
