Had everything up and running for about 2 days now and already made $20. A bit confusing as a first time miner but r00t babies you through it as seen above.
Some nice gains for about $20 more a month in electricity costs. |

| About to start back up mining. Getting solar at the house and think it will be basically free here in the sunshine state, plus buyback. Might even hookup the 4gb cards. Are those still worth using? I have multiple 8gb cards I've flashed to optimum settings. |

Okay so after about a month of mining I've made like $400. Pretty good but honestly it depends on what you have on hand and how much you can get cards if you need to source them. Luckily I already had a 3080 in my PC and a gaming laptop with a 2060 in it so that was the source of my mining income for like 2 1/2 weeks out of that month.
In this month span I've started with Ethermine, migrated to Flexpool for a 'pay period' (about a week) then went back to Ethermine (only because I had like $7 left there I want to cash out). I think overall I like Flexpool better. The website syncs with my Metamask wallet and its currently phasing in MEV support so that should help ROI a tad when EIP hits later down the road. I don't think you can go wrong with either though tbh. As of 3-19-21 this is my Ethermine dashboard. You can see my current hash rates and estimated monthly income which can honestly vary wildly, talking by a 100-150 dollars up or down at times.
https://i.imgur.com/QsGF6Jn.png Overall setting up the "mining" software itself is relatively straight forward. r00t basically spells it out for you but even someone on the slower side like myself can get through things with minimal setbacks. The real challenge is finding the sweet spot for your hardware. What to overclock, what to underclock. Where to undervolt and what fan settings etc. It's a big piss take that can honestly take a couple days of toying with how your hardware is set up physically, researching on sites and toying with Afterburner / Wattman. You can go super in depth and do things like play with memory timing and flashing over a new BIOS but I honestly wouldnt recommend that unless you really know what you're doing. Anyway this is my little mining setup in my guest room. 2 rigs -- one has a MSI Air Boost RX Vega 64 and the other has a PNY GTX 1060 GB and a XFX RX 480 GB. It doesnt look the best but I haven't decided how hardcore I want to get into this stuff. If I go all in the risers and break out boards will come until then I'll just make this look a little better and leave it be lmao. Whats not shown is my main PC with a 3080 and my laptop with a 2060 in it. I'll list what OC settings I have on each of my cards. Keep in mind every card is different but if by any chance you end up with the exact cards I do you can use my settings. If not just tweak down little by little until things are stable (or higher if you have a better card!) Main rig

Nice setup it looks like you have the same rack as us aha , of course r00t has 1300 cables so ours can look a little messy nonetheless very similar, it's pretty fun isn't it aha.
They kinda just pay themselves off I like it, except the fact our bathroom sounds like a blow dryer 24/7! |
