dah wrote Start my new job tomorrow as a bricklayers labourer and i'm pretty excited i'm ngl as well as nervous just wondering if i could get some advice so i can make a good impression and i'm 17 as well so i'm fully getting ready to get taken the piss out of lol especially here in the uk they will test the waters with me haha.

i have experience labouring for a tiler but not a bricklayer so i know it's gonna be a bit more of a challenge.

are any of you in the construction trade? if so what you in i'm always interested in seeing what trades people do.
Just show you willing and eager to learn and they will recognise mate you will enjoy it!

I'm from the US so maybe we do things different here than there. I work as a carpenter but I can say I'll never be a brick layer / brick mason / stone mason etc. These trades absolutely murder your body, you will have a hard time finding a guy who's been in 5 or 10 years that's not in bad condition.

Not to mention I think they read the OSHA (safety standards in the US) handbook just to break every rule.

Awesome man! I was hoping you'd come back and update us. So nice to see you fitting in well and you haven't packed it in. Put in the graft and you'll be a fully fledged labourer in no time!
