I appreciate this is something that's quite hard to give advice on as it's so circumstantial but any advice/help would be appreciated.

I've recently started getting pains in my left calf about 1k into my runs. If I continue through this pain it then leaves me with a numb foot. I would imagine this would be something to do with blood pumping round my legs hence the numbness. Wondered if anyone had any ideas.

Cheers,

This so weird to ask but have you ever damaged your left leg or muscle trauma?

No, never had any issues at all really which makes it all the more odd.

Calf pain leading to numbness in your foot could possibly be a pinched nerve. If so it's important to try and see a neurologist or at least see your GP and get a referral to see one.

If it's consistent with every single run then it's most definitely a nerve issue.

I play soccer at my university so running is in the job description.

If your saying you get enough water then I'd take cramps off the table. Do you stretch before you run? Stretching helps blood flow and open valves for blood to move. If none of that helps I'd go to a doctor because it could be a nerve or a vein has a clot and the blood isn't circulating back to the heart correctly. ***IM NOT A DOCTOR PLEASE DONT USE THIS AS ACTUAL MEDICAL ADVICE.***
