Why's my steering wheels not straight when driving? When I straighten it, it pulls me to one side, is it something to do with wheel alignment? How serious is it?

Will just need tracking doing, will always pull you to the curb ever so slightly shouldn't be noticeable.

Would get it done sooner rather than later will unevenly wear tyres etc.

Usually only £20 or so.

It's either not align or who ever did the alignment last didn't straighten the wheel before doing the alignment. It's not too serious but sometimes it can get annoying.

But if the steering wheel is all of a sudden not straight then something is loose and can be serious then.

I've had the car about a year and a few months, I didn't check it when I bought the car (I know nothing about cars and no ones ever told me to check that, lesson learnt), it hasn't caused me problems before like when im driving its fine until I try Straighten it, then it starts to pull.

I had it serviced a few months ago, they didn't say anything about the alignment, but they did fix the bushes? Surely they would of picked it up on the service?

Tracking is usually thrown out by hitting a pot hole or just a time thing, chances are it has gone out of sync since your service.

I mean £20 depending where you are, F1 Autocentres always good to me for tracking and tyres - though wouldn't go for much else

Good you know your stuff saves you going to a garage and them charging you 100's, I've definitely hit a few pot holes as they have caused me flat tyres in the process but that was before the service unless I hit one after but didn't damage the tyres so maybe I didn't suspect anything?

More than likely, tracking is something ive come to get used to now, I once drove off a garage and on my drive home hit a killer pot hole and had go straight back. That is just nature of the beast I get.

Cheers,

Steve
