Hi Folks,

Getting a little better at getting up for aerials now and can get touches on the ball sometimes on goal sometimes not so much.

I'm on PS5 so anyone know good training packs, or any good YouTube videos to start bringing air roll in I'm thinking this should give me more control of the car but any time i touch it at the minute i just spin out of control

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers In Advance

Forget the training packs bro. Go into free training, and spend 15min in there or more every day before you even play any matches. Run drills like it's really soccer. Go goal to goal, only in the air. Make sure you don't touch the ground till you're in the opposite goal. When that gets to easy, add a few air rolls in there. Then more. And more. Till you can comfortably go end to end while spinning. To create consistent control, start aiming for the corners of each net. Call out a corner to yourself and aim for it. Try to make your run in the air complicated and you'll get used to it. But don't be on the left and go for the left corners lol. Mix it up. Call out a corner when you hit half way? Then re-adjust and hit it. Do this with both left and right air rolls for sure brotha.

Also side training for you that worked well for me. The center circle on every map? Get in the air and use that as your guide. Go around and around the ball in the air, trying to keep a relatively accurate circle. Go left for a while, then go right. Create a tighter circle, create a bigger circle. See how long you can go.

Hope this helps you man. I know how annoying it is until you really get the control under your thumbs. Good luck! See you in GC soon ;)

Personal preference at that point man. I have left on LB and right on RB. Then X is my free roll. I'd say play around with a few bindings just remember it'll be weird af and hard af at first with any new bindings

For me I have air roll on LT as my fingers naturally rest there when I play. Makes it so much easier as I literally dont have to move my fingers to make in-air adjustments.

Speaking as a lowly plat 2, I don't have nearly as much experience as others -- but I was in your same boat not too long ago. The most important tip I can give you for hitting aerials whether its just to boom it back to the enemy, go for a nice save or get the goal shot... make as many adjustments as possible on the ground. I see so many new players immediately jump up for the aerial then either miss completely or frantically pitch and roll their car around trying to hit the ball because they weren't in a good spot to hit it. Stop, wait for the ball to fall to a better height or move in a different direction and then jump up for the aerial and do those micro adjustments. Once you start hitting plat or higher you need to make those "stop and wait" decisions into "hesitate for a second" decisions because if you wait too long someone else will hit it but for the time being it should make it a lot easier for you

I've had a lot of luck with that and its actually what pushed me out of silver into gold (yes I was a silver 3 trying to hit aerials lmao)

my air roll is L1 because i play on a ps4 controller my air roll left is square what i do is Ill go into free play ill fly from one goal to another and add some spins, fly upside down, fly sideways and another good thing to do is in free play go to the ball and do circles around the ball just dont touch the ground and keep circling around the ball.
Heres a vid i just made to show my warm up im still not that good but im getting better.

Interesting, I will see what works for me best, I really like training in free play but feel whenever i make the crossover to games its too fast to impliment, maybe it is just a time thing.

Cheers for this, proper helpful stuff!

I do find im always eager to get to the ball first. Think with most games being so fast paced. I will try and slow my play down so i aren't flying past the ball.

The annoying part is id consider myself good at ground play so i'm just needing the ariel skills to round me up to gold and above etc.

Cheers,

if you're trying to get into gold and above its just about game sense you dont need to do crazy Aerials yet.Just know when to rotate, when to challenge for balls, when to 50/50.Practice the basics first and the rest will come.
