Basically in November 19th my work put me on furlough for 3 weeks said I can't return for 3 weeks I was doing nights at the time.

Today I receive an email from them asking me to come back in 26th November Thursday on day shift?

I'm not pissed at it but was just enjoying the time to myself and a break from work lmao can they do this? I have a letter they gave me explaining it all I'll look at it in the morning but any help is appreciated

Basically, if they call you back and you say "no", it's going to give them cause to terminate you.
I'm not saying they absolutely will but if they want to, at that point they can. The stores' I run furloughed a lot of delivery drivers and the ones that did not come back when asked were let go.

Be grateful to have a job and a source of income to take care of yourself and just go to work
