took one ram out started up cold war and it instanly rebooted my system


took one that one out and put the other one in and i ran cold war played a match during the match it kicked me out so does that mean both of the rams are faulty ?

Kicked you out of the game or did it force reboot?

If you have Razer Synapse installed get rid of it entirely before getting too deep into things. That software is problematic.

Going off the RAM theory have you installed the sticks in the proper DIM slots? Typically A2 & B2 would be populated first if you're running 2-channel; so your gray DIMs should be where they're seated.

Make sure your topmost PCIe is where your graphics card is. Also when you know it's working have a look underneath to see if your fans are actually spinning- they idle a lot of the time, so it needs to be under load. And since you're going to be doing something intensive check your thermals. So, use software that came with your mobo- like AI Suite and watch your CPU temps, if it's getting hot then that's a factor. Task Manager will show your GPU temps FYI. You can just open a game up, no need to stress test it.

Also, if things are looking *slightly warm or hot - revert to default clock speeds in your BIOS and mess with your fan profiles or crank them all the way up. If changing your thermals improves performance it might be time to repaste your CPU cooler. Dropping game settings to the Low can be a big help too.

not using razer synapse.

yes the RAMs are located in A2 &B2

yea there is no heating issue at all fans are working completely fine pc never over heats another note is that i can be surfing the web or watching some youtube and my pc will still restart i also took it to geek squad a while back to see if they can check the problem but nope they said they couldn't even diagnose my pc because it would just keep shutting off when they would try testing it i decided to upgrade my power supply after that but issue still continues and im still stuck in the same boat

at this point the only thing i could think of is either my motherboard was defective or my cpu is defective but im not sure just a wild guess for me i dont know too much about pcs i just built one to game on

1. Clear the CMOS? If you can't reset BIOS in UEFI
2. Have you tried removing your m.2 ssd and running your OS off the HDD? Maybe that wasn't any good to begin with? You could try taking it out and running a live Linux distro(don't install it, just "Try") for a while and just do some normal computing to see if it's changing. That way you won't have to fuss with the HDD formatting, or whatever.
