Hi I'm looking for build suggestions I've currently got a pc up and running but the specs are not great I'm looking to upgrade the cpu, motherboard, ram and GPU.
Current specs are. uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/mBdz68 My psu isn't on the site but it's a CIT 700w FX Pro bronze 80 I'm looking to upgrade and know what my week links are which I'm guessing are the ones stated above. Also could be doing with an ssd but I can get that later on once I get the rest sorted. The syst will be used mainly for playing games, streaming to from my xbox series x. I play titles like warzone, dayz, minecraft. I wnat to be able to play fall guys and among us aswell on this system once I upgrade. My budget for upgrading will be around £400 mark. (can go up or down depending if its worth it eg future upgrades etc) I have a monitor and peripherals. I'll be getting a new monitor in the future for the series x so the 1080p one linked on pc part picker will be used for the pc build. Don't know much about overclocking so would stay away from that for now. |

That PSU definitely needs to be replaced asap.

If you can manage a little over 400 quid for the full upgrade, then you could add a GTX 1650 Super for £150-160. If you can make the 270x last you a little longer and then maybe get something more substantial than a 1650 Super, I would recommend that. That said, the 1650 Super is already a pretty substantial upgrade over the 270x so if a 1650 Super is all you're going to be able to manage, I doubt you'll be disappointed with it. If you do hold off on a GPU upgrade, then that means you could get a better PSU, maybe grab a nice aftermarket cooler for the CPU, and get yourself an SSD with the remaining £130. |

If you can manage £500, then I'd do this;

Definitely do SSD before cooler though, and I'd really recommend getting an SSD asap. Cheaper 480-512GB SATA SSD's are as low as 40 quid these days. I mean, yes, 700W is more than necessary, with the R3 3100+GTX 1660 Super system here, you'll be pulling 200-250W on average while playing games. Having more wattage than necessary isn't why it's bad though, it's just a really poor quality PSU. I absolutely would not trust it in my system. |
