Hey everyone, I am building my first PC and have a budget of approximately. $1000. I have a parts list from PCPartPicker which I will link at the end. But I would like feedback on it so I know it is worth the money to build. Feel free to let me know which parts I should exchange if need be. Thanks.
Budget: ~$1000 Use: Gaming, Everyday use, Streaming (If possible withing budget) Monitor: I am considering the Sceptre C248B-144RN, but suggestions are welcome Peripherals: I already have a Corsair M55 mouse and a SteelSeries ArctisPro+GameDAC, need a keyboard (preferably not too loud.) Operating System: Prefer Windows My PC build draft: [Minimum post requirement for links] |

Definitely change the CPU and motherboard. Waste of money buying a Z series motherboard with a locked CPU. It also just doesn't make any sense to buy a last generation Intel CPU. If you're going to buy Intel for whatever reason, buy 10th gen at least.
Also don't spend $50+ on a rubber dome keyboard pls. If you're buying a cheap keyboard, just spend $20-30 on something to do the job. Alternatively, spend more like $100 for a nice mechanical keyboard. Around a grand with a 1660Ti, this is what I'd be looking at; PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($199.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard ($114.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory ($59.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Crucial P2 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($94.49 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB VENTUS XS OC Video Card ($229.99) Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower Case ($69.98 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair RMx (2018) 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($89.98 @ Newegg) Monitor: VIOTEK GFV24C 24.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor ($144.99 @ Amazon) Total: $1004.40 Better case, PSU, and monitor. Also a better CPU. |
