| We have some expensive couches and such coming next Friday. I am looking for something to spray on the furniture immediately after unboxing to prevent the cats from scratching.... Do you know of any products you swear by? Maybe ask your mom? (Seriously) I read they don't like citrus type smells so maybe just straight lemon juice lol but I don't know if that would stain it... |

| There is plenty of different products they sell for pretty cheap $5 - $9 in most stores with pet products. Also you can Mix apple cider vinegar and water at a 1:1 ration. The vinegar can also be substituted for an essential oil such as citronella, lavender, peppermint or lemongrass (1 part oil to 3 parts water). Either one will make a fantastic cat repellent spray. Just spray it where your cat likes to hang out. My fiance had cats at one time and I used this home remedy, and it worked. I used the apple cider vinegar and they hated it lmao. |

| Do you have a cat post for your cats to scratch? Mine used to claw at my bed and chair but once I got a cat post and got them used to it (I used catnip) they started scratching that instead and I haven't had any issues with them clawing my stuff since. |

Yes quite a large one tbh. I just don't trust them lol.... It might be okay.. they don't attack one of our leather couches in our other living room, this one is a different texture though. I think I'm more afraid if them running and jumping on to it and then digging in due to being afraid of falling, so a quilt or something might be a better option. But I still would like to make them stay away from the very beginning to deter any future problems I guess. |
