Trump 2020

Biden and his followers

The CARES Act was introduced by the senate majority and approved 419-6 in the house and unanimously in the senate. The Trump administration was not responsible for stimulus payments, loan forbearance, eviction moratoriums, etc.

Was Trumps idea to give the stimulus payments not just to the people but to the people who were on the front line workers. Yes it had to be approved by the house and senate before he signed off on it. Was his idea also to keep people from going into foreclosure and people didn't have to pay rent if they fell behind dying the pandemic. Yet how could you fall behind when people in the US also receiving extra $600 per pay week on unemployment.

I don't follow, one of the largest complaints with the first CARES act was that it didn't include provisions offering hazard pay for front-line workers. In fact most companies just covered their eyes and straight up refused to pay their workers more for being on the front-lines, let alone the government providing assistance to the workers.

They received (if eligible) the $1200 just like anyone else, but no extra payments or really anything for what they're doing.

Most companies including mine got the extra $2 an hour and I believe the total is now an extra $1200 my company paid there workers for hazard pay for the first 4 months of covid 19. Companies also received $25,000 to help pay the front line workers So if you worked for stores like Walmart grocery stores like Kroger and Meier Home Depot Lowes. Menards. You got hazard pay

Sorry, this isn't true. Congress is responsible for the content of the CARES Act. Note that Trump never claims his administration is responsible for the bill, although it appears the White House had some input during the writing process.

If you're looking to credit Trump directly, he extended portions of the CARES Act with expiration dates with an executive order and three memoranda. These extended the eviction protections, increased unemployment payments, and student loan relief and added payroll tax deferral.

It's interesting to look at stimulus bills from the past: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_St...ct_of_2008 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Re...ct_of_2009
