As i say the company most likely has a deal with people to do the detailing before they sell. The seller shouldnt be expected to pay 500 quid for a decal when selling to a multi million dollar company who is going to resell anyway.

I said bucks as i assumed you were american lols - but yea, IMO i would pay like 30-40 quid for a very good clean inside and out. I wouldnt pay more than that as they are buying the car, not the decals. I think even £40 is a lot to spend on a car wash and clean inside and out, but when you compare it to a decal, what are they going to do that the general clean doesnt? Go over it with a microscope?

As long as the car is clean inside and out, should be ok

I see your point but there must be a reason why I detail takes 16 hours?

I think it only takes that long as they have to compensate for the price IMO, they cant do much more than clean and polish it really well. Details obviously, but how much more noticeable it would be for 500 quid, i dont know.

No, especially if you're giving it to webuyanycar. They give you way under the value of the car after all the fees. Were you that desperate to get rid of it that you lose hundereds of pounds on the car?

It's not that hard to do it yourself for a fraction of the price and you have extra left over to do your car. I would spend maybe $50 max on supplies and do it myself to make it look nice but I would never spend that type of money to make it nice for the next person, that's a dealership move and they are able to pass that expense on to you.

It all depends on the car imo like you could just have it valeted for £50-£80 and it will be up to show room standard. It's all about where you go, because most private valeters don't charge a bomb to have ya car back up to standard like you could do it ya self with a Hoover and some multi purpose cleaner

You got ripped off. They said 500 for a detail so they could get it cheaper. Should have told them they are dreaming.

For a detail? Hell no. I've paid $50 for a detail before. $500? No shot.
