So I have the Samsung S10+, or well, I did. I'm currently using my Dad's old S8 because I cracked the screen sitting in a chair and it hit the arm ffs.

My contract is finished in March. I don't know what to go with next, never had an Apple product, and usually always had Samsung.

If you're used to what you have and you like what you have/had. Then just stick with what you know, then you can't be disappointed?

Get another Samsung. (maybe S20 fan edition)

Yeah, I guess so. I just like taking photos and always found that android, no matter how well it's advertised, when it comes to using the camera it's always kinda shit. Unless you're outside in perfect daytime conditions with sunny lighting.

But then I don't know if it's worth risking going to a new phone when I am so used to the android layout and things on Samsung.

Try messing around with a friends iPhone for 5 mins see if you enjoy it.

I have an iPhone purely because it runs so fluently. My primary app I use to message people is Snapchat and it is so poorly optimised for Android that I cant use it. Plus they do some shitty way to take pics on it

Google pixel 4a or wait for the Pixel 5. I switched to google from the galaxy line and couldn't be happier.

C'mon man... I have an S8 as my work phone which is what, 4 years old? and we ONLY use snapchat / fb messaging to communicate. It works fine, the picture quality is rough for *some* android devices because there's only, oh I don't know 300 of them, but on main line Android devices like the Pixel and Galaxy series they look fine. It's not 2015 anymore.

iPhone are great for functionality, it'll do everything you want it to do and won't do anything you ACTUALLY want to do at the same time, I think lifetime Android users understand at this point going to an iPhone is paying more for a downgrade, especially when you're used to being able to use your files how you want, install what you want, get your music how you want. Going from an OS with (0) bottlenecks to something that can handicap you until jailbroken, idk how I'd feel about that. I think iOS is a great operating system for people that are content with what Apple gives you, I think the phones are *fine*. I just thinks there's better options for what you spend on a top end iPhone these days.

But ultimately you're right, it's all about user experience. If OP spends 5 minutes with an iPhone at his cellphone dealer or wherever and likes it, feels more comfortable with it, that's what is important for sure.

I'm currently a Pixel 4 user about to upgrade to the Pixel 5 in a few months, and it's leaps and bounds the best phone I've ever owned, if you're looking for suggestions.

Its personal preference. All depends on what you are wanting/expecting. I have tried many Android phones but none of them compare to how fluent iPhone is. Snapchat just doesn't run nicely to how I like it. Don't get my wrong there's qwerks on iOS too but Android ones annoy me more.
