Greetings everybody, I'm Mfierro13.

The Following is my first budget build, costing me around 900$ USD in my country.
I would gladly take any advice/criticism for my choices, as I just learned all I know about PCs and building them during the last 3 days, via youtube primarily, and been choosing the items to fit in my budget based on that same method.
Each category speaks for itself, meaning that the average money spent in said category is the "budget" for that category +/- 20%.
[Minimum post requirement for links]
(Case / power supply / cooling / are different in this list because Pcpartpicker didn't had them)

Processor: Ryzen 5 2600 (110 usd)
Cooling: Wraith Prism (50usd)
VideoCard: GTX 1660 Ti (230 usd)
MotherBoard: B450M-A/CSM (105 usd)
Ram: 2x8gb Adata D30 3000mhz (90 usd)
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1tb (55 usd)
SSD Hard Drive: Kingston A400 480gb (65 usd)
Power Supply: PSAZ 550w (80 bronze rating) (60 usd)
Fans: Aigo DarkFlash DR-12 (5 of them) (55 usd)
PC Case: (50 usd) The following link is the specs of my pc case
[Minimum post requirement for links]

So, my main worries at the moment are
1) Will be a tight fit for my build in that pc case?
2) Is a 550w power supply enough to power all this bulid?
3) Are my current hardware choices allright?
4) MOST IMPORTANTLY, what display should I get to maximize my gaming experience with a 250 usd budget? What characteristics should I prioritize with this build in mind? (Size / Hz / Refresh Rate / Resolution / Etc ... )

Thanks for reading!

What country are you buying in? What is your budget in your currency?

Mfierro13 wrote 1) Will be a tight fit for my build in that pc case?

It will fit just fine, but that's a really poor quality case and will suck to build in. I'd definitely consider something else.

Mfierro13 wrote 2) Is a 550w power supply enough to power all this bulid?

550W is more than adequate, that PSU however is horrendous quality. Quality>Wattage. Even a good quality 400W PSU would be sufficient for that system.

What will you be using the system for exactly? Gaming? Anything else? If gaming, any idea of the type(s) of games?

I think it all looks good, the GTX 1660 ti will do well for you. But I would go with a 650w PSU and get a Gold rated, not a Bronze rated, to leave room for a nice video upgrade in the future at some time.

Im buying from Chile, the budget is 750.000 CLP in local currency (around 1000 USD), but whatever left over money will help for the monitor (Got one at home, but will buy a better one for christmas maybe)

Will definetely look for better quality pc cases, most stores are out of stock in computer parts.

And on the PSU department, this one is a 80bronze certification; what should I look for to make sure its a good quality PSU?

Do you have a preferred website that you'll be buying components from?
pcfactory.cl and bip.cl are the only 2 I know of.

The efficiency rating is pretty much irrelevant. There are plenty of shit quality Bronze, and even Gold rated PSU's. There are some good quality Bronze rated units that are better than poor quality Gold rated units. The only way to really know whether a PSU is good or not is to read an article from a reliable reviewer.

I mostly use " [Minimum post requirement for links] ", that is the chilean version of pcpartspicker and shows what store has what in stock.

Regarding the pc case, i found the REDRAGON SIDESWIPE GC-601. It includes 4 fans, so I could buy this case instead of the crappy one and the fans.

Would this be better?

Thanks for the help so far

I'm a little confused by this currency tbh.

Is this;

157,990 CLP? Or like the equivalent of $157.99USD?

Basically you multiply the CLP currency by 1.29 and divide by 1000 and you get the USD price.

Example: 100.000 CLP --> 100.000*1.29/1000 --> 129 USD.

I've made some changes to my build in the last day

Don't know how to insert a picture into the post.

Summarized build with costs in CLP and USD
[Minimum post requirement for links]

I'd be buying the ryzen 5 and rx570 off friend for 80.000 CLP and 110.000 CLP respectively, and ordering the NVMe Asgard and Adata Ram cards off aliexpress. The rest components of will be bought on a local store (sistemax.cl)

So is that "$157,990" for the R5 2600 on Solotodo, 157,990CLP then?
Going forward, I'm assuming that is the case.

That PSU is still horrendous quality.
If you can get an R5 2600 for 80,000CLP, definitely go for that.
An RX 570 is a perfectly fine GPU, but I'd consider it entry level at this point for sure. I'd really aim for a better GPU, something like a GTX 1660/1660 Super would be vastly superior.

I've no idea where you're seeing B450 motherboards for 30,000CLP though? Cheapest I can find is 70,000.

CPU - R5 2600 = 80,000CLP
Mobo - AsRock B450M Pro4-F (better choice than Asus B450M-A, but the Asus one will do if it's all you can get) - 70-75,000CLP
RAM - 1x8GB @ 3466MHz. Grab 2 kits of these, or any other 2x8GB 3466/3600MHz RAM (3000/3200MHz is also fine, but only if it's a good bit cheaper than 3466/3600) - 85,000CLP
Storage - 512GB A-DATA SX8100 - 60,000CLP
PSU - Seasonic S12III 550W - 65,000CLP
GPU - GTX 1660 Super - 330,000CLP

So, this takes you to just under 700,00CLP, leaving around 50-60k CLP for case, and maybe an HDD.

This is a really nice mid range case if you can get one for 70k CLP, I'd definitely go for it;
spdigital.cl/products/view/70540

Alternatively, Deepcool Matrexx 30 or Matrexx 50/55 are your best options for budget cases;
sistemax.cl/index.php?route=produ...ct_id=2531
sistemax.cl/index.php?route=produ...ct_id=2280
sistemax.cl/index.php?route=produ...ct_id=2475

Then, if you want to add a mechanical HDD, I'd just do that later when you have some more money, and just grab yourself a 2TB HDD;
solotodo.cl/products/26555-toshib...wd120uzsva
You'll manage with just the 512GB SSD for now though IMO, and it's better to get a better GPU, PSU, etc within budget than to get an HDD in the system straight away.
If you get the Matrexx 30 for case though, you could probably still get that and a 1TB HDD within your budget.

Thanks for the help so far man, I really appreciate it.

Regarding the motherboard, I checked with the store via whatsapp and they won't have it in store untill december, so I'm staying with the asus one.

The rams you picked are a nice catch;
I had the 2x8gb 3200 for 75.000 clp
You found the 2x8gb 3466 for 88.000 clp
Also I found some 2x8gb 3600 for 96.000 clp

Question 1
(3466) / (3600)
So is it worth it the 13.000 CLP / 21.000 CLP extra (17 USD / 27 USD) for the ram upgrades?
Question 2
Also isn't there some kind of limit to what ram speeds my motherboard can support?

Question 3
I see you found another PSU, is that one the better choice?
I've been struggling with this decision cause i feel like that rgb piece of crap isn't really good haha. But instead of 650w, it would be 550w; would that be an Issue? considering the current build and that the case has 5 fans included. I will probably do this upgrade if you tell me it's fine. (It's 10.000 CLP / 13 USD price difference for the upgrade)
550W [Minimum post requirement for links]
650W RGB [Minimum post requirement for links]

Regarding the case, I'm staying with the Anted DF 600, I like the design and that includes 5 fans, It's the cheapest I could find and they have it on hold for me as it is the last unit they had (being used for display).

And on the storage, I think that the 1tb Asgard m.2 from aliexpress is a good find; watched a lot of brazilian reviews after 3/6/12 months of usage and they work fine

So in summary the list would look like this

Cooler: Deepcool Gammax GTE v2 (30.000 CLP)
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 (85.000 CLP)
MoBo: B450M A/CSM (80.000 CLP)
Case: Antec DF 600 (80.000 CLP)
Ram: Adata D60 3200 (75.000 CLP) / 3466 (88.000 CLP) / 3600 (96.000 CLP) Choice to be made
Storage: NVMe Asgard 1tb (75.000 CLP)
PSU: RGB 650W (55.000 CLP) / 550W (65.000 CLP)

Total Before (Without GPU): 490.000 CLP
Total w/ 3600 & 550W (without GPU): 521.000 CLP

Now regarding the GPU, I had found the RX570 on a local facebook group post, for 110.000 CLP

I will try finding a used 1660 super, cause I can't fit a new one into the budget.
However, Is is that much of a difference between a rx570 and a 1660 super? maybe there is a middle ground?
