I was recently tasked with creating a logo, leaflet and a website using the logo (in photoshop).
I've never made a website layout in Photoshop before, I typically just use Wordpress but here it is:

If you have any feedback I'd be happy to hear it!

My biggest bit of advice is to tone down the map portion. It only needs to be a simple square that lines up, preferably on the right hand side below that nice cup with all the leaves. To fill in some of the space, you might add some filler text like contact number, address, store hours, etc.

I've seen this style utilized quite frequently in web design, Dashii likely went with a larger map to supplement the images in the grid right above it, both likely bolstering a height of 50vh to collectively fill the user's screen. I personally would advise moving integral information such as contact info, address and legal documents to the footer.

Additionally, I would have like to have seen the following:

  • Consistent margins throughout the site's design, it seems the buttons in the main header, and the text under about us are on their own individual margins in comparison to the logo in the header and footer.
  • Let's see something done with all of that information under the About Us section, perhaps place them in accordions with icons and supplemental information above them in a singular row block grid.
  • Where's the responsive design to supplement this version? I'd love to see that in addition to the changes I've suggested above.

Thanks! I don't have any plans to continue working on this design as it was for a job application but I may add it to my portfolio, in which case I'll definitely improve on it with what you've mentioned. Especially with the about us section. I spent a while trying to figure out how to make that less daunting and I could only really think of adding paragraphs to it instead of it being one big block of text

Absolutely incredible, only issue I'd personally have of changed is the arrow going form the beans, is a little to thick but other than that I like it!

Flat/Material mixins have always been a personal favorite. I'd love to see a live demo of this.

Upset that you didn't get the job, this is great work. Of course a couple things I can say I would have done differently but it would have not have came out as elegant and professional as this. I do agree about the map size though. Other than that, great job.

Just because you didn't get the job does not mean your skills were not qualified, maybe they were just looking for something different! Keep up the good work!
