Ok, sooo far this is what I have for my build, but of course, this does not really affect keyboard. But here is what I am looking for in a keyboard:

A white backlight would be nice, but I am really more concerned with speed and accuracy than lights and RBG. - Wired! - I do love the feel of laptop keyboards, years ago I could type so fast on them with lightning speed, but they do not seem the same anymore. Right now I picked up a logitech K740. Keys are comfortable but i keep having to go back to repress a key. - Less noise would be better than a ton of noise.. But I am not opposed to noise in general. - While I have loved laptop keyboards in the past, low profile is not a necessity- just wanna be able to type super fast! - I did at one time have a cherry MX brown and it was fine. I was thinking maybe trying reds, but not sure if there would be something better suited. One I was considering was the Logitech G610. But curious of any suggestions out there, since I can't really go and try each and every kind of keyboard out! Thank you!! |

I use a Trust GXT Avonn Gaming Mouse & Keyboard and they are sweet, Best ones i've had i would definitely recommend.

I've used this keyboard for almost 6 years. I love it keep and simple. It does have rgb's but super great for gaming, I'm also a programmer so it work great for typing. Highly recommend |

Cherry MX Blues for typing. I love my MX Blues, but they are awfully loud. You can use rubber o-rings to dampen sound a little, but my god MX Blues are still terribly noisy.
MX Browns have a similar feel to Blues, but are less noisy. MX Browns are a good compromise if MX Blues are just a bit too loud for your liking. MX Reds I wouldn't bother with, especially if you're doing lots of typing. MX Reds are typically better for gaming, but at this point, you'd just get MX Speeds as the better switch for gaming. That said, MX Reds are still A LOT easier to find than MX Speeds. Rosewill MX Browns Cheap, nothing special, but will get the job done. G.Skill KM780R MX Browns $5 more with RGB LEDs, but this is pretty gaudy and 'gamery' looking Das Keyboard Model S, MX Browns Pricier, and no LEDs, but a nice keyboard. Das Keyboard Prime 13, MX Browns White backlighting for an extra $10. Other than that, pretty damn similar to the Model S. You can sometimes find a Corsair K70 RGB with MX Browns for $140-150, but stock is never great for them. K70 is a brilliant keyboard though, well worth the money if you find one with the switch you're after. Maybe check trusted sellers on Amazon. CM MK Pro L, MX Blues Nice keyboard with RGB LEDs. Personally, I'd be choosing between this or a K70 RGB with MX Blues probably. Das Keyboard 4 Root, MX Blues $10 over budget and isn't backlit. Nice keyboard though. You can also get the Model S that I linked above with MX Blues. Model S with Blues or Browns are both the same price anyway(within budget). Last MX Blues suggestion; K70 RGB Mentioned it already, and this should also usually be <$150 but is currently $20 over your budget. It can be a bit of a tough sell at that price with the amount of competition there is, but the K70 really is a great keyboard. I doubt you'd regret buying one for $160, but I also doubt you'd regret buying a $120 keyboard lol. Lastly, if you want MX Speeds, then K70 is your only decent choice that I can find; Best Buy $130 Amazon Amazon unfortunately only currently have stock of the "SE" K70 with MX Speed switches, and it's $20/25 over your budget. If you wait for stock, or buy from a trusted seller on Amazon, then you can get the standard edition K70 with MX Speeds for $150, or the low profile(just lower profile keycaps) version for $130. |

Personally i've gone with Ducky keyboards, I got my first one last year and love it ever since
I have their full size one here i got from here with MX Silver switches. mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/inde...amp;p=4283 The silver switches I believe are the fastest ones they have because the actuation distance is very low compared to some other switches and I really like using them for gaming and its pretty nice for typing too. But on the site, you can choose other sets of switches |
